He picks me up at my shared apartment with Regan and I am all flustered with his gentleman gestures.
The drive is silent but not an awkward silence it was sort of comforting.
We pulled up at a café and I remember Frank’s café back in Australia.
The Vaults and Garden café looked expensive, but it also had a homey feeling. We make our way inside the café and went to the counter.
“Hello and welcome to Vaults and Garden café. What would you like today?” The girl at the counter wore a green apron asked as she handed us a card that showed what was available.
“We want four bagels, a cup of hot cocoa and coffee.” Ocean says without looking at the menu and the girl smiles and nods.
“Take away or dine-in?” she asks as she punched on her screen.
“Dine-in.” Ocean answers as he paid. We found ourselves a seat near the window waiting for our order.
“I miss Frank’s bagels and hot cocoa.” Ocean says and I turn to look at him as the waiter approached us.
