Bab 55: Chapter 54

Connecticut hated the mess hall sometimes. Like now as at this time of day the lines were ridiculously long. It took her nearly an hour to get to the buffet. Thick pieces of salmon which, while not as ideal as seal meat or whale, was all those pesky, irritating green heads permitted the Navy to catch. And even that might be lost soon. Stifling her growl of disgust at the thought, Connecticut filled two plates and made her way back to her and Carter’s dock. She was unprepared for what she saw.
