Bab 36: Chapter 36: The Witches Stones

Selene leaves Cora where she stands and hurries out the front door with Tobin hot on her heels. Selene bursts into the cool night air and quickly changes her clothing with magic. A warm jacket, long sleeve shirt, and brown pants replace her gown. Her heart is racing and she can hear it steadily pounding in her ears. A small group of men approaches the house.

“What’s going on?” she demands in a firm tone.

“Luna,” all the men say at once while bowing their heads.

“We have spotted coven members just beyond the great wall. What should we do?” one of the men reports with a tinge of panic in his voice.

Selene looks over at Tobin, who’s standing beside her. The look he gives her says ‘you’re our Luna. So, what do you say?’

Looking back at the men, she hardens her tone, but doesn’t yell. “Keep a lookout and make sure they do not find a way in. Don’t approach them. We can’t be certain they know we are here, and giving away our location is a very bad idea.”
