Bab 477: The Universe

Pedro linked his arm with Benedito's as he walked him to me and by his face alone I could tell this was the next happiest moment of his life. 

To me everything felt like it fell into the backdrop as Benedito's and mine's eyes met and there was not a thing that could pull them apart. For a moment I wondered if I was caught in another coma and was dreaming all of this up. This must have been what heaven felt like. 

Where everything in the universe just seemed to make perfect sense. That every single challenge Benedito and I had to overcome led us to this moment at 1am in the middle of Florence with our impromptu wedding. I had always stressed to him that we could get married under a bridge and I would still be happy.
