Severus was trying not to stare at the grandfather clock in the corner of Dumbledore's office. The school year was ending in a few days and Dumbledore was a very unhappy headmaster. Dumbledore called a small meeting of the Order members who would have known Harry growing up if Harry had remained in their world. Dumbledore finally took his seat. He had been in a private conversation with Molly Weasley by the fireplace. Severus wasn't surprised by the fact that Dumbledore called for a meeting and wasn't ready. It was his normal mode of operation. "Thank you for coming everyone. I require a bit of assistance." Dumbledore popped a lemon candy into his mouth. "I have not been able to get Harry removed from the custody of Lucius and Narcissa. I'm also a bit concerned due to that our Harry has been spending a lot of time with Draco and Harry Morningstar."
"Hendrick." Severus automatically corrected.
"Yes, Hendrick. Harry hasn't been spending much time with anyone in Gryffindor. He has been a bit slower in progressing in his studies but from the reports, he has been approving at a steady pace. Severus, am I correct in that assessment?"
"It has been a slow but steady improvement. It is a lot of information he is trying to learn in less than a year." Severus had enjoyed watching Augustus, Lucius, Narcissa, and the Dark Lord creating the reports with Meg and Ruby adding their comments at times. Harry usually disappeared during those debates. Severus would usually find Harry alone later that night.
****mini flashback*******
Those nights were the nights he enjoyed talking to Harry. Harry wasn't moody on those nights but he always had questions about his parents, the last war, and the Order. They were the type of questions that couldn't be discovered in books. Questions like what was his mother's favorite color, what were his parents' favorite subjects, and the stories of Lily growing up. Stories that Severus enjoyed telling Harry about. After about two months of the weekly sessions, Lucifer remained behind. They were meeting in the ROR so that Lucifer could be in his human form. "He enjoys the talks. No one else can provide the stories about Lily that cover before, during, and after Hogwarts. Petunia was a spiteful wrench."
"She was. She was very jealous of Lily. Harry never speaks of them."
"He won't. Let's just say the year I stayed there was worse than any type of Hell I could have thought of. I specialize in being cruel, coming up with soul breaking, punishments but what she did to a child was beyond anything any demon or I would have come up with." Lucifer had spent a long time coming up with the punishment in Hell for Petunia and Vernon Dursley. Crowley and Death had added their special touches. "He wouldn't have lived to be eight if he remained there. I take him to the volcanos to help him get his anger out."
Severus wondered about Lucifer at times. They knew the volcanos were about Lucifer just having fun with Harry specializing in keeping the body count down. "Yes, the volcanos are for Harry's benefit."
Lucifer smirked. "Had to try." He transformed into his snake form. Lucifer hissed a few times before leaving the ROR.
***********end mini flashback**************
"Will he be able to progress to his second year?" Dumbledore pulled out some parchment. "We might need to see if Lucius might allow Remus to tutor him over the summer holiday."
Severus arched a brow but was saved from saying anything due to Minerva's words. "Albus, you know that will not happen. Lucius will not permit anyone associated with the Order to be Harry's tutor. Neither will the Board of Governors permit Remus to become a professor."
"A professor?" Severus looked at Minerva. Why would Lupin become a professor?
"Yes, for DADA, next year. He believes that Julius will not renew his contract."
"Remus would be an excellent way for Harry to reconnect with his parents as well as having a positive guiding influence for young Harry." Dumbledore popped another lemon drop into his mouth.
Severus knew the Dark Lord planned on being here next year. Severus needed the extra help handling Harry and Lucifer while keeping Dumbledore from ruining everything. "He has renewed. He already submitted the contract. I was the witness to his signing of the contract."
"I see." Dumbledore frowned a bit. "We need to find a way to have Harry connect with those in the Order. If he remains in his first year, I fear it might affect how Harry is viewed by the public and those who follow the light. Wizards might view him as weak and we might have to fend off a variety of attacks, physical and political. The Dark Faction may even attempt to harm him while he is residing with Lucius. I do not believe that Lucius would consider providing Harry with his full protection." Dumbledore held up his hand. "I do not believe that Lucius will hand Harry over to those in the Dark Faction until his master demands it."
Severus bit back the angry retort that his friend would allow a child to be murdered that was under his protection. "We need to get people to file a protest to get Harry removed from Malfoy." Molly's voice went straight through Severus' head.
"While that would be a valiant effort under normal circumstances, I am afraid Lucius has a lot of support backing him."
Severus wanted to laugh. Dumbledore had no idea how much support Lucius had backing him. He also had a feeling that Lucifer and the Dark Lord were laughing. He didn't hear any hissing but it didn't mean anything. He wondered if Harry was with them. He wouldn't be surprised if the boy was and he bet Harry was already making plans. "What do you want us to do?" Molly's hands were shredding the tissue she had in her hand.
"I would like for you to encourage the children in Gryffindor as well as Ron, Ginny, and Hermione to write to Harry over the summer. Molly, speak to Arthur about a truce with the Malfoy family. We need to be able to have Ron and Ginny visit Harry at Malfoy Manor. Harry needs to have light-oriented friends. Have Ron write about meeting Harry at Diagon Alley to go school shopping the day the book lists arrive."
"Albus, Lucius will be taking Draco and Harry together." Severus wasn't even going to mention his thoughts on a truce. The feud wasn't because of anything the Malfoy family did. It was the Weasley family who broke the marriage contract and when they worked out a settlement, the Weasleys broke the settlement. The only way to fix it was for Arthur to complete the settlement contract. He wasn't even sure if Arthur was aware of the reasons for the feud.
"US! They are the reason for the feud. They are the ones who owe us." Molly had stood up as she spoke. "They are the ones who are evil and dark. You know it was their fault. As if, anyone in the light would cause a feud."
Severus hated it when he was right about members of the light. Most were fools who followed a power-hungry, senile, fashion-impaired, headmaster. Minerva was one of the few he respected because she stood up to Dumbledore when he had stupid ideas. Que Minerva now. "Molly, do sit down. You might want to find out the reason behind the feud before working yourself into a state."
Severus saw movement out of the corner of his eye. He did a slight tilt of his head and saw the end of Lucifer's tail. He wondered what the man did now. He saw the end of the Dark Lord and Harry's tails as well. He began to discretely look around Dumbledore's office. There were some missing books from the bookcases. How did the three of them do that? It was going to make Dumbledore wonder what was going on.
"Yes, we must think about Harry." Dumbledore ran his hands down his beard. "Harry needs our guidance and we must provide him with a positive influence."
Severus wondered who was going to speak to the two youngest Weasleys and Granger. Harry, Meg, and Ruby, and Draco couldn't stand the trio. Severus started to remember the last conversation he had with Harry.
****************Flashback*********How Harry met the Winchesters.
Harry was sitting at the diner cafe enjoying his hamburger. Lucifer was working on finding out what was going on in town. It was already dark outside since it was winter and around sixish. He looked down the counter and saw two humans eating. One was eating a hamburger loaded with everything, fries, and a piece of pie on a separate plate. The other was eating a salad. Harry made his normal yucky face. Harry realized he was looking at Sam and Dean Winchester. He opened his Batman comic book and began to read as he ate. Harry looked up as two vampires entered the cafe. Harry closed his comic book. He saw the Winchesters were still present but hadn't noticed the two vampires. Hunters! Harry slid off the stool and walked to their table. "Hi."
Dean and Sam stopped talking and looked at him. "Hi." The pair said together.
"Do you need something, kid?" Dean had his back to the vampires.
"Yes, I need you to get rid of the two vampires that just came in. I don't want to be on their menu." Harry sat down. "They are the ones that just walked in, Salad Eater." Harry pricked his forefinger and quickly drew a small sigil on the table with his blood to keep their conversation private. "Privacy."
"Impressed." Sam looked at the sigil. "I will have to remember that one."
Dean didn't look over his shoulder. "What are the vamps doing?"
"Casing the food selection. Why else would they be in a diner?" Harry rolled his eyes. "I hope you have a way of killing them."
"One step at a time." Sam looked at the two vampires. "They are to your left, Dean, at 11 o'clock."
"Everything but our knives are in the trunk, kid. Sammy, how many humans do you see?"
"Two by the front door. You?"
"Three at the last table, two at the end of the counter, and two older folks two tables down from us." Dean looked at Harry. "You will need to go out the backdoor once the fighting starts."
Harry held back the sarcastic remark, nope another one was coming out. "Oh, and here I thought I was the dinner special."
"Cute kid, real cute." Dean looked at his pie. "I wanted that."
Do you want me to run out and get the items while you finish your pie? I am sure the vampires will wait for me to return before turning us into their dinner."
"Dean, do you see anything we can use as weapons? I have my knife."
"I have mine too. We will have to do it quickly and find the nest."
"My father is already looking for the nest." Lucifer and Harry discovered a loophole in the number that Lucifer could kill. Death didn't count as anything supernatural. Lucifer turned into a bit of a hunter. "He killed three last night." Lucifer had wanted to kill more but they had arrived late last night and Harry and Lucifer had been tired. Harry wasn't strong enough to fight off vampires and other things that went bump in the night. He wasn't even seven years old yet.
As it was they didn't get to start a fight as Lucifer came into the diner. He stopped walking when he saw Harry sitting with the Winchesters. "Harry?"
"Hi, Dad. Look who I found." Harry waved at Lucifer.
"I see." Lucifer walked by the vampires and stood on the opposite side of Harry. He looked at the sigil. "Good job." Lucifer wasn't worried about Sam or Dean recognizing him in this form. He looked a lot like Harry. Sam and Dean would never believe that Lucifer had a son. "I have some Dead Man's Blood if you're interested in assisting me on taking out the nest and those two."
"We're in." Dean answered before Sammy could.
"Give me a minute." Lucifer filled two syringes with Dead Man's Blood and casually walked toward the vamps. He jabbed them both in the neck as he stopped at their table. "Harry, order me whatever is on special."
Harry walked to the counter and spoke to the waitress. Harry stayed in the motel room while Lucifer and the Winchesters went off to kill the vamps. After they returned, Lucifer, Dean, and Sam cleaned up a bit as they were discussing things. They left the next morning. Severus was promised the story of when the Winchesters learned who Harry and his father were.
*************End Flashback*****************
"If anyone has any questions or ideas, please let me know. We can use all the help we can get."
"I will get started on the jersey for him."
Severus closed his eyes in horror at the idea of Ruby or Meg wearing a Weasley jersey with a bit H. He wasn't sure what the two demons would do if they had to wear the jersey. He knew Hendrick Morningstar would torture someone if they have him a Weasley jersey. Severus stood up and was almost to the door when Dumbledore summoned him back. "Albus, there isn't much I can do."
"I'm aware. I'm just hoping you will keep supporting Harry.
"He is residing in my quarters or did you forget that fact?" Severus had a feeling that Dumbledore was going to ask him something that he was going to hate.
"I was hoping you would ask Ron, Ginny, and Hermoine to join your lab sessions with Harry, Hendrick, and Draco when they return in September."
"I do not have lab sessions with them. At times, Harry, Hendrick, or Draco may join me at different times but there is no set schedule. Harry does his lab work in class and attends the different study sessions I hold. I do not allow talking in those sessions. They are run as if it was my classroom. It won't provide a way for the Weasleys or Granger a way to make friends with Harry." Severus wasn't having his potions labs turned into some social session because of Dumbledore.
"I see." Severus was going to warn the Dark Lord that Dumbledore had some scheme brewing. "I believe a defense club would be a good way to practice."
"I have to finish grading some essays if that is all?" Severus wondered how Dumbledore missed that there was a defense club. He had a feeling the snakes were already planning on what to do.
"Yes, yes, thank you, Severus."
Severus headed back to his quarters. As he exited the stairs by the gargoyle, he spotted Lucifer. He bent down and picked the snake up. He saw two more snakes. He picked up Harry and the Dark Lord. The three snakes were hissing. He kept walking and once he was away from the students he looked down. "I can't understand you, so getting upset doesn't do anything."
