Bab 491: The Gods Must Be Crazy

It is believed that one's fate is decided the moment they are born, there is no escape from it as they would live according to how the gods willed it. 

Didn't that mean that everyone was just a plaything and their path to Valhalla was inconsequential as the gods had already decided who would grace the halls before they were even born?

But what if this wasn't true? What if this was man's way of justifying his shortcomings?

Fate is such a dangerous thing to believe in but those that do believe in it are granted something that most would go their life without possessing and that's an unshakable belief.

Ragnar's motive had become clear and Kattegat was the target of his rage but did he believe fate would allow this? Would the gods allow this?

There was no escaping it but did this mean he was willing to fight Bjorn?
