As it turned out, using Lost and Alone's domain in order to see details in the dark *didn't* actually help all that much. Oh, sure, with it active Dahlia could effectively see the outline of everything near her; a three dimensional and three hundred and sixty degree perspective that revealed every detail she could ever need. Yet it sure as hell didn't tell her what happened or where anyone else went, and that seemed like a far more pressing concern rather than admiring the local filigree's details or discovering just how much dust was layered up on the floor.
It *was* a lot of dust though, she had to admit.
Euryale's back baby!!!!!!
Sorry, I just really like her. And maybe you're asking me, "Hey, what the hell even is their relationship? It's kinda weird." And my answer is "I honestly have no idea, but it's a vibe and I love it."
In other news, this chapter had a lot of different stuff in it and I worry that it might have felt a little all over the place, but I hope not. I actually had a lot of fun writing this one. It was also longer, so that's fun.
Next chapter *will* have some combat in it, but not from Dahlia. Sorry, maybe you were excited to see her mop the floor with the ghosts, but I felt like it would be a little anticlimactic considering how she and Euryale are *built different*. Next chapter will be a different perspective~
