As Valentina started to brainstorm for her new named spell, she immediately shifted and made some room between herself and Dahlia. She didn't expect anything too crazy to happen during the initial few tests, but she still would much rather experiment with her new aspect while separated, just in case something went wrong.
Channelling her mana, Valentina could already feel the changes from the previous night. While she still needed to get used to it, she could feel the difference in her mana and it already felt more natural and comfortable than the mana she had used before. Where the 'Blood' aspect from before was a generic cookie-cutter version of vampiric aspects, her new 'Cold Blooded' aspect felt so much more natural and correct.
This was one of the hardest chapters I've written. The research for finding a suitable vampire was really tough this time around, with even the one I chose not being particularly suitable. Obviously, I took creative liberties. In addition to that though, even naming the spell was really hard to do for some reason and I'm not particularly happy with the finished product. In the end I needed to write it though, so I just settled for Kephn’s Protection. Idk why, but the whole chapter had me filled with writers block, and then last night I was also sick sooooo, yeah. Sorry if the final edit wasn't as good as my usual work. I hope it was still enjoyable though.
On a very different note, it's Canadian thanksgiving today! If you celebrate it too, then I hope you have a great holiday, and if not... well, I still hope you have a wonderful day as always~
