Bab 171: A duel between vampires
After the vampire burst through the ceiling, there was a moment of calm where time seemed to slow. But as it let out its ear rending screech, it was as if all the time that had slowed down now came crashing back at even higher speeds to make up for. Within the next second, it was nearly impossible to parse what even happened. Everyone began to burst into motion, and the vampire certainly wasn't waiting for them to make the first move.
Spells were cast, barriers were formed, and explosions of different elements rained down on the beast before them, smothering it in magical attacks. And yet, it all amounted to nothing. There wasn't even a scratch on the vampire as it rushed out of the cloud of attacks and made a beeline straight for its target: Valentina. It closed the distance faster than anyone could blink and, even with Sabrina's fate magic woven into everyone and Valentina's curses supporting them, it felt like the creature they faced was overwhelming.

AngelAsphodel I would like to sincerely apologise for the delay in posts. I just got hit by a pretty serious bout of exhaustion and depression, and I just couldn't find energy to write. I'm really sorry for that, especcially considering that I love writing and don't like to leave you guys waiting. I'm still not feeling in tip-top shape, but I plan to resume uploading regularly again. Here's hoping it works out.
In much happier news, I just met the 10 review threshhold needed for Lost: To Be Found to recieve a proper rating and also appear in more search results and stuff!!! It's honestly really encouraging to have such a high reviewed score and it really makes me happy to know that my work has been enjoyed.
In addition to this, because I've reached the review threshhold, a ton of new people are finding my novel (like, 10 times more people than before, and that was when I wasn't posting for two weeks). It's a little intimidating in some ways to have so many new people showing up now, but it's also really really encouraging. That isn't even talking about all the readers who have been supporting me even while I wasn't posting. Seriously, you make me so happy and make me want to work harder for you all.
Anyways, before I get even more stupid and sappy while thanking you for your support, I'll just say thankyou one more time, and I hope you have a wonderful day. I promise you'll get another chapter soon too!
