In the course of the last two hours, Dahlia had come to accept one thing.
'The space attribute sucks!'
Mentally, the girl was screaming, her slow progress to master the element was now fueled more by her desire to prove a point and 'defeat' the element rather than to meet whatever expectations her mother had put on her. Sure, she had made progress in these last few hours but she had also experienced more than her fair share of suffering along the way.
In that time, Dahlia had nearly knocked herself unconscious fifteen separate times, had (and then reopened) a nosebleed five times, threw up eleven times, and had sweat so profusely that her light linen top clung to her like she had just gotten out of a lake. All said, the girl looked like something the cat dragged in, but even so the determination in her eyes had only grown.
Another long chapter!!! I know they are more expensive, so I apologise for that, but I really do just write what comes most naturally to me. Funnily enough, I was in a flow state while writing this chapter and literally almost halved the time it would take me to normally write this, so at first I didn't even realise how long I made it.
Nonetheless, I imagine training arcs aren't the most fun to read and, while i do plan to have one more chapter dedicated specifically to Valentina's training, we should be moving on quite soon. The original plan was to start the Calanthian Forest arc at chapter 150 but... well, it might be a chapter or two later than I initially planned. Either way, proper action and exploration will start soon and I also plan to test around with some things in the next arc that, while definitely different, I hope you enjoy!
Anyways, as always, I hope you have a wonderful day!
