Despite Sabrina claiming to try and keep things interesting, Valentina couldn't help but fall asleep after a while. She genuinely wanted to take part at first, but soon enough it became clear that things were going to take some time. Although the two were discussing what they knew of primordials, the vast majority of it was rehashing stuff she had already heard. Hearing it in a new context or with a new perspective was nice and all, but she had only just had a discussion about this and nothing had changed in that short span of time.
Coming up with this chapter's title was hard! So I just settled for an 'early bird catches the worm' reference with regards to Avery being a bird-person... sometimes creativity is hard.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed a bit of insite of harpies. I actually brainstormed the societal structure of a few monstrous races a while ago, but they usually don't fit into the story very naturally. I might try to include them from time to time in ways like I did in this chapter.
Similarly, I doubt the legends of the primordials will make it into the story, just because they are myths. They exist as background information, but I feel like they wouldn't fit into a normal chapter. Because of this, I was considering writing them as one-offs or interludes. Maybe something to write ahead of time and use as filler in the future when I can't write for a day. Idk, it's something I'm considering, but it wouldn't be an immediate thing. Let me know what you think though!
And, as always, I hope you're having a wonderful day~
