As the rest of the day moved forward and the convoy began to set up camp on the outskirts of Marksend, Dahlia continued to flip in and out of lucidity. At some times she actually managed to be rather coherent, but it would only last for a few minutes before she drifted off and became sluggish or even fell back to sleep altogether.
The night continued on like this and for the most part, Bessie and Valentina stayed by her side all the while. At one point they moved out of the hard and cold wooden flooring of the wagon and got into a proper tent. Sure, the ground was cold and hard too, but it was nothing that a little bit of impromptu bedding couldn't fix.
Once things had settled down, the evening moved forward slowly. No truly meaningful conversations happened as, even when she was more lucid, Dahlia seemed to enjoy focusing more cuddles than anything serious. It wasn't until about eleven at night that the slow pace of the evening had to change.
Long chapter... Took forever to write. I was super duper braindead today. Still am. I think I gotta fix my sleep schedule really badly.
This is my last chapter of february though and I'm very proud that I managed to post a chapter every day! I get burned out really easy, so that's a bit of a feat for me. I theoretically can get some bonuses and stuff if I upload daily for an entire month, but I'm not sure if I'm really at the stage where I can benefit from those. It's really nice that I managed though! *proceeds to pat self on back*
There's always the possibility that I keep the daily uploads up in this coming month, especcially if fixing my sleep schedule actually makes a difference, but recently I've been worn down and I have a lot of irl stuff happening, so I apologise if I cut back on a chapter every now and then. We'll just have to wait and see though.
Anyways, as always I hope you're having a wonderful day!
