Bab 49: Storm's Wolf(Makai's Point of View)

The voice is small and hesitant, like Storm but a more vulnerable version. My eyes widen in shock as I stare at my mate- or rather, his wolf.

"What's your name?"

He closes his eyes. "I d-don't have one. Storm hasn't named me y-yet."

He looks so vulnerable and lost that I want to hold him in my arms and reassure him, but I'm not sure he would be receptive.

"Is Storm okay?" I ask hesitantly.

His eyes fly open, and the steady gaze he holds with me before glancing away is accusatory. "He's resting."

I get the impression that Storm's wolf is not too fond of me at the moment.

"I didn't know he was hurting so much," I explain.

"I know."

I follow his gaze when it shifts to the alpha on the floor.

"I hit him with something because I don't know h-how to use m-magic like Storm."

"What happened?" I ask gently.

"A-after I sent the mating call, I tried to give Storm back c-control b-ut he was too exhausted from the p-pain so I stayed so he can rest."
