Bab 124: Strangely Easily Accepting

Jess looked at me for a long time.

"So... you are telling me to run away?"

I rolled my eyes.

"What? No. That's the worst case scenario. Chances are, you probably won't be banished. Just make sure you are very insistent that you have no intention to take over the position, and if it really comes down to it, I know a friend that would be willing to take us in. He also has more than enough money for the sake of basic living expenses."

Jess blinked a few times.

"What? How do you know he would be willing?"

A smirk formed on my face.

"Trust me. He would probably think it's a blessing if it was the two of us."

And it wasn't because of me. Jess scratched the side of her head.

"Then should I send a letter to inform Father?"

I clicked my tongue and turned back around.

"He's left us in the dark for so long, there's no obligation to respond to him immediately."

Jess frowned a little bit.

"...But he was still quite apologetic about it."
