The following morning, Gemma grudgingly dragged herself out of bed. Not that she had much of a choice. Her mother came to her bedroom early enough to get her prepared for Juan's visit. Even if Juan was coming in the afternoon, her mother still felt that it was necessary that she gets prepared on time.
"You need to take your time in preparing yourself for his arrival," Her mother said as she started fussing over Gemma, telling her what she needs to wear for her date with her soon-to-be husband.
When Gemma picked out a dress to put on, her mother took it from her and tossed it back into her closet.
"Too simple, you don't want him thinking that you have no taste in fashion," her mother said as she started going through the array of Gemma's dresses.
"We need to get you a change of wardrobe, very soon you will be married and you will no longer need these clothes."
