The days that followed were cold and tense, with Luka and Keisha keeping their distance from each other.

Whilst preparation began for the execution of their plan which Elijah had dubbed 'Operation Armageddon', the pair did everything in their power to avoid unnecessary interactions.

Even when the D-day finally arrived, it was no different.

Keisha scanned her outfit in the mirror for the umpteenth time, grunting in frustration. Though she knew fashion should be the least of her concerns at the moment, she couldn't help but want to look good.

After all, if the mission failed, at least she'd get to die looking fabulous.

Dispelling her negative thoughts, the human gave her outfit a final once-over – green cargo pants, white crop top and a black bomber jacket paired with sneakers.
