I blurted out those words before I could think it through. It came out just like that, even though I just heard the voices of his staff in the background, even though I knew he was busy with work.

But my heart that was beating so hard chased the sudden desire, and there was nothing more in my head except for the fact that I wanted to see him.

[...now?] his reply came in a delay, telling me how surprised he was. But I only mumbled weakly as a response and the next thing I knew, the connection was dead.

I spent a while just staring blankly at the orb. And then realization hit me and my hand flew to slap my cheek in scolding.
