Bab 284: Remembering Her Father

Varya didn't know how she was supposed to focus on the rest of the party with the news Basileus just dropped on her. 

When he returned to her side after telling Galen to go check on Ebari, the couple held hands and Varya couldn't wipe the smile off of her face. 

Even if it didn't feel like it at that moment, the universe had drastically changed for the better. The Ptomans were most likely extinct with the death of Khion and Kruos soon after. 

The silver-haired empress felt giddy. 

She leaned into Basileus's shoulder and looked up at him through her eyelashes. She felt especially grateful for him. 

It was like they were suddenly in their own little world because she couldn't hold back from sitting up so she could kiss him on the cheek. 

"Aren't you two affectionate?" Theron said as he and Solana took their seats next to the happy couple. 

Varya couldn't hold back - she had a little bit of champagne after all.
