It was such an uncomfortable situation she had the urge to laugh but she kept herself together. She knew the situation was serious but she couldn't help her knee-jerk reaction. 

Holding herself only go more difficult when she glanced at Ebari and hoped he was holding it better together than she was. 

However, the moment she looked at him, hiding his face behind his large hand, she saw his mouth twisted in a way that she knew he was holding back a laugh as well. From the other side, he looked like a grief-stricken husband at his wife's betrayal. 

Basileus, on the other hand, wore a smug expression and Varya had the urge to smack him though she knew it would be better if she didn't touch him or even look at him.

The horrified expressions on the advisors' faces brought Varya back to her senses.
