"Our apologies, Your Majesty. After we heard that you summoned her, we wanted to come and apologize in person," they replied.

"I am grateful you thought of apologizing in person. But please note that next time, I will not entertain uninvited guests or guests without prior letters to visit. Please inform me in advance next time. My schedule is fully packed so I cannot meet other guests who were not in my schedule," Arabella reminded them.

"Yes, Your Majesty. Our apologies for coming without prior arrangement."

Just the fact that they were here without sending a letter first was already a clear sign they did not respect her. They had even done it on purpose to intimidate her.
