Unfortunately for Ori, Susie Q outright refused to help, proclaiming the mission as stupid, reckless, and bound to get everyone involved killed. Judy offered to help where she could, but that was more or less negligible with how things were.
He'd looked into the files Rogue had sent him and the situation was looking direr the time passed. The lowest estimate of the Tyger Claws in the building was around fifty, probably more. This was even worse when you consider that Tyger Claw enforcements were literally next door, it wouldn't take long for triple that number to barge in and shoot the fuck outta Ori and his crew.
The building itself was a front, an erotic shop selling sex toys and other things related to it. It was designed around the theme of 'BDSM', allowing the Tygers to put metal bars and chains over every window, and reinforce every entrance.
On the floors second and up was where the real biz was happening. All the Tygers were centred above the store, but Rogue didn't have much intel on what exactly went on there... Ori could guess however, given that Cat had been sold by that piece of shit Doll techie.
It made his blood boil just thinking about it.
Ori was leaning towards a 'stealth' operation, given how vastly outnumbered they were. But they needed something to fall back on if they were caught. Six wasn't suited to sneaking around, so he'd be with the 'backup'.
As for what the 'backup' was? Well, Ori had looked around for anything that'd fill that hole. He'd asked Rogue to find him so mercs to help out, but she refused... Not because she didn't want the money, or didn't want to get involved, but because the operation was so 'hush-hush'. If she asked any merc about the gig and they refused, they'd have a potential leak there.
The big people who worked under her couldn't be seen hitting the Tyger Claws, not without starting a big ass gang war and throwing her from her comfortable spot of neutrality.
After that, he'd intended to ask Quentin about it... Until Rebecca came forward and recommended Kiwi again, along with her crew.
Ori was less than happy to accept that, not only would he be putting Rebecca in danger, but also her brother? That shit hit too close to home. Unfortunately, she didn't give him a choice on whether to accept or not. She simply dragged Maine and his crew along during their next debrief.
-------------
Ori sighed silently to himself as he glared at the holographic map sitting atop Six's table, his garage providing a suitable 'hideout'. Six was taking apart and looking over his revolvers for the Nth time today, while Sasha leaned back in her chair chewing bubblegum and attempting to find out more about the Tyger Claw locale.
"Ori, you haven't said so much as a full sentence for days... Have you even been eating right?" Sasha questions as she exits the net with a tired huff.
"I'm fine." he idly states, having repeated the same phrase every time someone asked that annoying question... 'Are you alright?'
"You're not really, though, are you? Otherwise you would have noticed that we've been here for an hour and Rebecca still isn't here." she retorts, causing him to blink at her.
"Uhh..." he checks the time and blinks once more as he confirms it. "Oh..." he groans, realising what she is doing.
The trio have their attention drawn as the garage doors slowly open, allowing sunlight in and revealing a number of figures, looking like black silhouettes against the light.
"Yo! I'm here with backup!" Rebecca exclaims as she smugly strides inside, plopping herself in Ori's lap as he continues staring at the group she'd brought. He recognised most of them.
"I told you this already didn't I? Get your mitts off of my sis ya' punk!" Pilar shouts, going to prod at Ori's temple but finds his finger caught in a vice-like grip.
Ori glares at him, gripping the metallic digits tightly, "I'm not in the mood for this shit. Either sit down or fuck off." he growls.
"Heh, like you said, kid's got spunk." a large woman almost the same size as Maine chuckled, nudging the big man in his side with an elbow.
Pilar swaps his focus from Ori and onto Rebecca, "You gonna let your douchy input talk to your brother like that!?"
Rebecca snickers at him, "Yeah I am, I'll help him follow through if you don't listen up too!"
"Pilar, just chill." Maine states, sitting down a bit away from Sasha, kicking his feet up. "'Becca here says you've got a job for us."
Pilar reluctantly sits, Kiwi lighting a cig and taking a spot on his left. "Oh, by the way. I've invited a... I suppose you could call her my 'student'. Hope that won't be a problem?" she drawls.
"Considering I didn't even ask for you, yeah, it might be." Ori mutters, squeezing his brows as Rebecca awkwardly laughs him off. "Even if you don't accept this gig, will you guys keep your mouths shut?"
Maine shrugs, "We ain't no rats here. 'Sides, 'Becca alright gave us the sitch, not something we can't handle."
"You told them!?" Ori angrily asks the girl in his lap.
"Well yeah, we can trust 'em. They didn't throw us under the bus after what happened at Biotechnica either." she states.
"They're good, did a background check on them way before this." Sasha remarks, blowing a bubble with her gum.
"Six?" Ori questions, wanting to hear is opinion. The merc hadn't been happy when he heard the plan he'd been brewing, but the guy reluctantly accepted it after having it all explained.
"Don't matter."
"She's here..." Kiwi says as a lithe figure steps into the garage.
A cute face with bright, pastel rainbow hair, a cig in her mouth and rather revealing clothes. Though, she had a Netrunner suit under them, meaning the group now had three Netrunners present... Not something that happens every day...
