The picture of the bloody room kept flashing before Journee's eyes. All three dead bodies kept staring at her face. The big gaping hole in the boy's neck would haunt her for ages. She felt bad for the kid that was dead before he could see the light of the world.
She could not see a way out of this mess. With one hand on her window, she kept her head tilted on her fist and kept driving her Jeep with her other hand. The whole she kept sighing. Disheartened, she reached her house and sadly spoke, "Journee Davis." Her gate opened and she drove in.
Her face hung low with defeat, she entered her house. The house was still dark. She sighed again. The realization hit her that she would have to break sad and shocking news to her dad. Losing family, murder, and killings were sad topics for both Journee and William even though they were police.
