Bab 289: Destruction of the Olympians Part 10: Decay of the Underworld
(Hades POV)
Location the God of War World-The Kingdom of Hades, the Underworld
Here we are in my dark kingdom of the dead, as harpies and cerberuses are spread through my dark, and grim realm.
I along with the damned Plague God outsider, gave just fallen from realm above of the mortals and living, during said fall I and Nurgle exchanged a couple of punches and other blows on one another.
Which eventually our free fall ended with us crashing and destroying my statue along with some of my castle, a bit shaken from the crash and I dug myself out of the rubble, and I realized that we're now on a piece of land overseeing one of the five rivers...Styx, Phlegethon, Lethe, Acheron and Cocytus.
Standing next to me was my beloved wife and queen, Persephone and the daughter of my reaper, Erinys who appears to be worse for ware, but regardless it was time to fight and send these cursed invaders and traitors to Tarterus!!!!
Channeling my power and dominion over the Underworld to empower myself and my queen, I felt strange...
I was weakened during my fight with the Arch-Daemon, I couldn't harness my power and divine authority as I would normally be able to do, before I could force the Underworld to obay me, my enemy struck.
I ducked under a cleaver swing, from the Plague God, Nurgle but then I felt something pierce my chest!!!
Looking down, one of Nurgle's parasite just latched onto me, then I felt the tentacle's teeth rip and tear deeper into my flesh while a surge of pain the likes I've never felt before started to pulsate from the parasite's bite!!!
Screaming and dropping my chains, I heard my queen scream for me I quickly went to pry the parasite off of me, when Nurgle struck again.
Hitting on the right side of my chest with his fist, causing me to cough from the blow, then Nurgle quickly drove his slime spewing bone left claws onto my shoulder.
Before I could retaliate against the Plague God, I saw him rise his rusted green cleaver again, which made Persephone react as I felt her magic starting to rise and surge, but then that insect Aiikila rushed in skittering towards my queen right passed us with that brat of a traitor Limos ridding that Plague Goddess back with...insects crawling over that Godling.
I mentally commanded my chain hooks to reach and hook-on the two Goddesses but just as my chains started to float...a excruciating pain now surged from my side.
(Nurgle/Plague God POV)
While my claw and parasite were drove into the God of the Dead, injecting vile and gastric juices into the body of Hades, but to my surprise this Death God was quite resistant to my diseases.
Ohh well, I'll shall have to try harder then, I rised my Worldblighter and was about to start chopping at the right side of Hades, as my fiancee and daughter rush passed us.
That's when I saw Hades intentions against my beloved and child, so I'd swung hard driving my Worldblighter deeply into the Daeth God, the diseases and poisons exuding from my blade were already causing some infection around the bleeding wound of Hades.
With a smile on both my face and belly, I started chopping away.
Attacking at Hades' side over and over with my cleaver, until the infection manage to take hold of Hades his wounds immediately started to spew out foul, thick yellow puss and the edges of the wounds were starting to turn black.
At the end Hades smashed his burning helmed head against mine, which pushed me back and I felt my parasite unlatch from him.
Stumbling a bit as I got my footing and saw Hades vomit as the poison and fever was starting to spread and worsen by the minute, Erinys turned into her raptor bird form and flew around, most likely to attack me or Tabes that was standing beside me.
I turned to my soon to be my most trusted right hand, and said to him, "Tabes...deal with...her." he nodded to me, and started channeling his magical power and conjuring a bright green spore like miasma and as the bird form Erinys dived down at us, only for Tabes to point his fungus long scepter at the approaching bird of prey.
Tabes shot a green spore cloud at Erinys, immediately affecting her, she looked like she was suffocating as she pull up and flew away, I saw as she hacked and coughed...or what could be considered a bird coughing...as she flew erratically, I felt the fast growth of life all over Erinys, as fungus and mold started to sprout, bloom, and spread all over her body.
She crashed over the canyon to the east, Tabes combed his sprout like beard excusing himself to me, as he'd promised to deal with Erinys properly, I nodded to him as my focus returned to Hades.
He was still vomiting and shivering before me, ohhh how a utterly delightful sight.
Hades is now experiencing my gifts and from what I'm seeing as Aiikila was attack Persephone without any remorse, while our daughter was being held and protected by my lovely, Aiikila's insects, Limos was helping her new mother with burst of famine at the Queen of the Underworld...all seems to be going well, meaning I can focus on incapacitating the Underworld King, and claim my prize his [Dead] divinity, as the souls that are lost and not quickly under the ownership of another Gods, will be pulled into the Warp to be judge on which fate their most deserving...
I mentally laughed, as it was Laharl himself that suggested and trusted me to become the...oh how did he say it again?
Ohh yes, the Judge of the Dead, and administrator of the souls killed by Undivided, or near our psychic borders when they pass.
Sometimes I can understand my eldest brother, but my trust and confidence in him has only grown over time, plus I'll be eternally grateful for giving me that Warp Tersarract to make my queen, Aiikila.
She and our daughter managed to push back the Queen of the Underworld, as they moved their battle to another location.
With a smile on my face, I began to stomp towards the sick Hades when the God of the Dead stood up exposing his bleeding, puss oozing blackening wound on his side.
This made me quite happy, as a God regardless of being a lesser deity being infected by my gifts, but I'd still needed to finish off weakened and sick Death God, taking what I want from him and my part of his overall power for my own.
But then Hades used his chain-hooks to pierce around the sick, infected, area and started tear apart the infected area gushing out black blood, as a large chunk were torn off forcing Hades to his knee.
Quite impressive the fortitude and resilience, in doing such a action to face me.
Hades stood back up, bleeding profusely and badly from the chunk he ripped off himself.
I heard him say, "This pain is nothing for me. Nothing...can compared to what I have in stored for you, Nurgle!!!" Hades spun his chains, his banter being amusing to me.
Resummonig my flail Phthisis, and laughing I said to Hades, "Well then...Underworld...King. Show...me...this...pain you...promised."
He roared at me, spinning his violet hooks into his grasp and running towards me with as I responded spinning my seven chain flail in my left hand and harden my grip on my cleaver, as I stomp towards my opponent as well.
(General POV)
Location Within the Throne Chamber of Hades & Persephone
Breaking through the dark, barely lite chamber was the Goddess of the Underworld, Persephone, destroying the mural of herself that Hades made for her in her likeness.
Slightly cut by the broken ornamental glass, she was launched through by another flail strike courtesy of Aiikila herself, Persephone, she quickly stood back up as she heard shrieking from the harpy sentinels and the rumbling of the castle, harnessing her grey blue magical energy, preparing for her fast approaching opponents.
As the rumbling and shaking intensifies, some Cursed guards started to come to the defense of their Queen.
That's when the sound of breaking and shattering walls grew louder and closer, when the wall/main entrance of the chamber where the mural once stood exploded by the force of Aiikila's spider legs bursting through it.
As the thick green poison oozed and dripped out the spider legs of Aiikila she drew back her legs, and Persephone prepared for her enemies to come only...
FLASHBACK, FEW MOMENTS AGO...
Location Outside the Castle of Hades, the Battleground between Nurgle & Hades
Hades smashed down his right hook causing a small burst of necrotic death energy in a geyser of violet and whitish purple, which Nurgle took the brunt of the blast with little affected to him, and retaliated by smashing his flail against Hades, all seven spiked skulls striking the Underworld King.
Hades grunted in pain as his flesh was immediately bruised and pierced by the Nurgle's flail, then as Hades was disoriented by the blows soo Nurgle followed up his attack by sprouting his four parasite and launching them at Hades.
These four parasite tentacles latched on to Hades' wrists and shoulders bitting and digging deeply into the body of the God of the Dead, letting out a scream as the tentacles wrapped around his arms.
Forcing Hades off his feet, and lifting him up, facing Nurgle, Hades struggled to free himself from Nurgle's grasp when Nurgle dropped his cleaver surprising the God of the Dead...but not as much as the horror that Nurgle was about to unleash on him.
Nurgle second mouth opened wide as he spew a torrent of vile and vomit on Hades, using his free hand he forced Hades head still, as he coated him in diseased, bacteria infested, acidic vomit.
Disgusted and violated Hades mentally instructed his hooks to cyclone around himself causing some cuts into Nurgle's spirit which hurt...but not the same amount of the other Dark Gods that have tasted Hades' blades, upon causing this slight damage the parasites released Hades.
Slipping slightly on the burning vomit on the ground, Hades was completely reviled by this and nauseous, as well as burning both physically and health wise from the Maggotking's revolting spew.
Eventually he felt worse as he felt his flesh and Helm of Darkness began to melt away from Nurgle's...projectile.
Before Hades could react he felt Nurgle's blade chop into his left shoulder, as the parasite tentacles all struck at his ribs.
Lifting him up Nurgle tossed him over the cliff side onto the grey waters of the great river of souls below, Hades screamed as he fell and splashed onto the river, Styx.
Nurgle laughed and coughed at the fall of Hades, he'll recover the Olympian once he deals with his wife, and goes to support his beloved fiancee, Aiikila, and his dearest daughter, Limos, that were currently fighting against Persephone inside the castle.
Walking over the several gold and bronze plated stone bridges that connected one land mass to the other, Nurgle rushed as fast as his bloated carcus is able...that when at the center of the third bridge a giant violet tip hook chain wrapped around it and split in half.
Then a titanic sized Hades emerged from the river Styx, enraged by the humiliation he has suffered from Nurgle!!!
All the vile and disease were washed away by Styx, but the damage was done.
All over Hades body were acidic burns, and his helm was discarded probably at the bottom of Styx at this moment, this revealed Hades monstrous titan-like face that he hides away.
He roared as he swung his right hook at Nurgle that was ginormous but still half the size of the current God of the Dead, but with his current weaken strength and the added power of being in his domain Hades was sure any attack he landed would be devastating to the Plague God.
But as the twin sharp violet hooks approach Nurgle, Hades was struck with a barrage of acidic projectiles which disrupted his swing and caused the Underworld King to miss Nurgle, and allowed Nurgle to swing his Worldblighter down and break the chain of that hook.
Reverting one of the Claws of Hades to their original side and to be discarded, Hades growled in anger as winged tumors flew in swarms around him, Nurgle immediately recognized his daemonic spirits the Repulsive Khaos has come and started shooting at Hades again.
Nurgle laughed as more and more repulsive khaos came and join the assault on Hades, forcing the Olympian to cross his arms to protect his body from the nurglish spirits attacks.
That's when Nurgle realized that his children have all come down to the Underworld to aid him and Aiikila, Nurgle was soo touched and happy as he commanded them to spread out throughout, the Underworld turning everything into a putrid, vile Garden of Decay.
With that Nurgle open breaches into his Plague Garden, all over the Underworld summoning fort all his daemons from the Warp onto this world.
Leading this parades of contagion, were his Elder Daemons, Ku'gath Plaguefather which was accompanied by numerous nurglings as well as plaguebearers with his tallymand, Epidemius leading the said and other Lesser Daemons.
Next was Tsathogga the Frog God leading thousands of Plague Toads and Pox Riders into the new battlegrounds, and lastly the Glottkin, Otto, Ethrac, and Ghurk ahead of all other daemons stormed into the Underworld, in honest opinion to the Glott Brothers the Underworld resembled a lesser Shyish.
But regardless at last even death shall meet and feel the loving embrace of Filth, Rot, and Decay...
PRESENT TIME...
Location Within the Throne Chamber of Hades & Persephone
Once Aiikila retreated her spider-legs, swarms of Plague Daemons pour into the throne room lead by a the Great Unclean One, Rotigus Rainmaker that has been reformed and tasked by the Grandfather to aid and protect the Mother and new Princess of the Garden, as they stormed and wither the castle of the Lesser Gods of Death.
As Rotigus immediately brought down "Nurgle's Demiruge" infecting the creatures of Hades, Ladies Aiikila and Limos have enter the Throne Chamber with a legion of plague daemon ready to end the Queen of the Underworld...
