*Narrator pov*
Watching, waiting, and analyzing Morpheus stayed in his position his eyes keeping track of every movement of the demon in front of him.
Although Morpheus couldn't claim to be as good as his brother when comparing Occlumency he was still rather good at the form of magic, he kept his shields high clearing his mind from all distractions and purely focusing on what was before him.
As time ticked on another figure appeared, "About time," the demon grunted
The new figure snorted, "I'm only a couple of minutes late I got held up," he exuded the disgusting (to Morpheus) aura of an angel
The demon grunted again finishing a line before standing, "I'm done here, we are almost complete with the containment soon no one will be able to sense this place even with the large influx of magic from teleportation," he said pointing out what he accomplished since his shift
"Good," the angel nodded inspecting the work, "I will finish up the stabilization you are better at the containment side of things,"
"Agreed, we must finish soon before leaving I heard the idiots they have in charge of the America location went missing," the demon's annoyed tone cut through the peaceful forest
The angel laughed, "I knew they would mess up, are we supposed to go fix it?" he asked
"No, we are supposed to move the location to someplace else which will delay us quite a bit,"
Now they both were annoyed, "Well, you should head back I will finish up my work here,"
The demon nodded, "I will be back soon and finish my containment,"
As the demon left the angel started his work using what looked to be a bone to etch onto the out layer of the portal's wards.
Morpheus realized it would be impossible to sneak in with them changing shifts like so. After a minute of thinking he slowly backed away and unhooked his pouch.
Reaching into his pouch enchanted with spatial enlargement properties Morpheus pulled out another pouch… this one had fine powder inside. Taking the spatial pouch he put it back around his waist and then began to take small handfuls of the powder and blow it into the air.
The powder seemed to never fall drifting through the forest toward the clearing. Under the sun it was invisible to the eye, Morpheus moved slowly around the cleaning from a moderate distance repeating his actions with the powder.
It drifted through the air joining at the clearing, the angel hard at work didn't notice anything amiss.
As the angel continued to work he started to feel more and more tired, "This body is not suited for the type of art I am creating," the angel huffed in annoyance
His body only got more and more lethargic his eyes threatened to close and his mind wanted nothing more than to rest.
"Sleep sounds so good right about now," he murmured
"That idiot won't be back for a while I can take a quick nap," he yawned transfiguring a simple bed, "Yeah a quick nap,"
In the back of his mind, the angel knew something was wrong but the tiredness would not escape him. Like a giant sighted blanket was covering his body he slowly closed his eyes.
As his breathing slowed to a low rhythm the camouflaged figure of Morpheus stepped from his cover.
'He won't be like that for long best complete my work before something goes wrong,' Morpheus thought while walking over to the portal scheme
The anchor was a giant crystal with intricate carvings atop the surface, "Starheart," Morpheus murmured brushing his hand atop of the mesmerizing sheen
Starheart crystal, many would say it is pure magic made into a crystal. They would be partially right. In essence, this singular crystal would be worth more than the whole black family estate.
It is not something money can buy.
"Of course," he added as an afterthought before taking out a small very precise, and sharp bone exactly like the one the demon was using
Studying the scheme he found it to be the exact same as the one at the beach smirking Morpheus got to work. He began to add small barely noticeable changes to some of the stabilizing lines then moved on to changing more while making sure to keep the flow of lines the same as the original piece.
This was to ensure the demon and angel watching over this portal wouldn't see anything amiss unless they were to check mark by mark; line by line.
Morpheus then moved onto the anchor he gazed at it with undisguised greed oh how he wished to take the crystal and go forgoing his plan but, Morpheus contained his desire and instead focused on the etched markings on the stone.
"I see," he mumbled taking a small spike of metal as thin as a needle from his pouch along with a small vial
At the edge of the crystal, he slowly moved the metal spike back and forth the vial under the spike catching the crystal residue.
Gathering a small sample he capped the vial and put it into his pouch before backing away and inspecting his work making sure nothing was out of place.
Nodding his head in satisfaction Morpheus prepared to leave but before he left the rain forest Morpheus walked to the edge of the wards flipped over a random rock and quickly carved a small symbol of a glowing eye.
Replacing the rock Morpheus left the rainforest.
*Morpheus pov*
After finishing my mission I left the symbol of all seeing which will allow me to scry into the rainforest past their wards to check on the progress of if they found anything amiss.
I made sure to be far away from the portal site before taking out a portkey and activating it, "Britain" I whispered before being pulled away from the Amazon and plopped into my manor in Britain
Derobing I walked over to my bathroom and began to draw a bath, as I waited my mind drifted to the Starheart crystal I had my suspicions of the true nature behind the precious material which is why I gathered a small sample. I should have enough time to test my theory before the start of school once more.
Laying down in my bath I allowed my body to relax and enjoy the calmness the water brought. Starting school, yes that reminds me I need to find material I can actually teach the children.
It is becoming troublesome to find things to teach at this point, many arts cannot be taught to people with low aptitude when it comes to the sight, and even if the whole student body had the sight it would be difficult as many divination techniques were ritualistic in nature.
Of course, they were not rituals but the methods are closely tied making it impossible to teach without everyone throwing a fit.
Sighing I tossed aside my thoughts and just enjoyed the bath.
