Breakfast was short and sweet, with all the kids competing on who could eat the fastest. Everyone was only allowed one bowl, understandably, as I imagine funding to the orphanage wouldn't be too much, especially with this orphanage being one of many, explaining why I had no memories of Naruto being here.
As the kids finished breakfast and went outside to play, I quickly followed them to view the outside world. I mean, this was the Naruto world!! No matter what path I take in the future, I am currently living in a world where anyone can become a ninja, albeit the strength differs, all people have the capability of exceeding their human limits.
We quickly made our way outside, and everyone proceeded to start playing ninja. Kids would grab a stick and pretend it was a sword, some would play bare-handed, some played tag, some just explored, and overall it was very lively.
The kids here were of differing ages, some being 5, some 4, some 3, some 2, but generally, the only ones playing outside were 4 or older. The others stayed inside since it was too early for them to play on their own.
As everyone around me was playing, you would find me... playing with them. I was one of the few playing tag instead of ninja, and for good reason! First of all, I don't even have the coordination to pick up a stick and swing it with some strength, never mind against another kid. Judging by how much bigger I am than the others, by a considerable degree, I would probably destroy them, but unfortunately all that strength was currently unusable to me.
I mean I'm only as strong as a 6-year-old, but still, strong.
"TAG! Aizen is it!!"
Damn it. That kid caught me. I started chasing the others around me, and when one kid fell on his face and everyone was busy laughing at him, I pounced on him like a lion and yelled,
"Tag!! Kirio is it!!"
The kid's name was Kirio by the way. After about 30 minutes of repeating this, I found that my body coordination was much better, and it was progressing way faster than when I was simply standing still and doing small movements. Practical usage was the fastest way to grow after all.
After I had fun, and yes I did have fun, tag will remain fun at any age, I started playing ninja. I treated this as a fun exercise too, especially since it was. Running around and swinging a sword is hard you know. Especially for me.
Time passed pretty quickly, and after about 2 hours the Matron called everyone back in for their lessons. It made sense really that there would be lessons, otherwise, how would everyone know how to speak and write? Aizen was a pretty smart kid, and he picked up things quickly, so he was pretty advanced in his lessons, but obviously not as much as I was in my old life, so I had to hold back and pretend to have some difficulty. After an hour of lessons, we moved into another lesson which consisted of history and general education. After an hour of that, the Matron in charge of learning proclaimed that we were free for the rest of the day and that she'll call us back during lunch. She also reminded us to stay near the orphanage, and not wander off.
Damn it. I had wanted to go exploring, but it seems for now I couldn't do that. The Matron would take us out to the playground occasionally, so I could only hope that day came soon. I went back to my bed and determined to think about what I would do now.
I didn't exactly love the idea of killing and dying, but the idea of being powerful was exciting. Unlike the other kids that only saw how ninjas were cool and could shoot lightning out of their eyes, which they couldn't, I saw deeper into the dangers of such a path.
But I can't help but say I also want to be able to shoot lightning out of my eyes, so that left me in a dilemma. I figured that I can't denounce being a ninja so fast, but I can't accept it too easily either, so for now, all I would do at the moment is train my body.
I need a strong body anyway, even if I were to be a normal civilian, so it coincided with any path I would take. I couldn't take it too hard on my 5-year-old body, but going outside and running is no problem. And that's what I did. I went outside and joined the other kids in their activities, running around, and playing. But I did it as a form of training as well, so I would not stop running until I was tired rather than taking breaks, and I would pick a heavy stick to swing to stimulate my muscles more.
Overall, by the time the Matron called us in, I was pretty tired and thankful that lunch was here. All the kids quickly scarfed down their food, and while some went back to sleep and take a nap, I stayed outside and continued my running and "training".
When it was time for bed, I could confidently say I was thoroughly exhausted, and went straight to bed, excited about the next day coming. At the rate I was going, I would gain back control of my body completely by the end of the week.
