Jennet shook in her seat. How could he have thought of such a thing? Was that what men think when unmarried women put on a ring? That was outrageous! It was a misunderstanding!

Unceremoniously, her face reddened at the misunderstanding. She was embarrassed because she had no idea how to explain the truth or how she got the ring on in the first place. She was perturbed.

However, Luca was surprised when she saw her blushing. Was that a cue that she admitted that she harboured feelings for him too? Then, was he right to assume that she purchased the ring to reserve herself for him?

Suddenly he laughed. It was laughter filled with happiness and gladness. He grabbed her hands and squeezed them. “I understand everything now, Jennet. You don’t have to tell me. I know what it is in your heart. I will treasure you throughout my life.” He said, smiling widely.
