For the first time in a very long while, Justin felt genuinely happy. If Wilson's plans worked, his lifespan could potentially be increased by a couple of years.

The introduction of another presence had the distracted duo turning around to meet James standing behind them. For a moment they'd almost forgotten that James was joining in for tonight.

"I've arrived, what exactly am I supposed to do?" James got straight to the point. Back at the guild orders were simply given without explanations, and James still had that characteristic imprinted in him.

"We're patrolling, there's nothing more to it." Wilson answered before turning around to focus on his path. "All you have to do is make sure the civilians are safe from any sort of danger. If you encounter any purifier you're to retreat immediately. Engaging them would be unwise. We might have the same motives as them but they're not our allies."
