Mauve glared at her, "Don't look so shocked. You are the one who said I was starting to look pale."
"Oh, of course," Vae replied, the relief on her face was apparent.
Mauve frowned, "What were you thinking?"
"Nothing. Do you want to go out now?"
"Yes before I undress to sleep. I wanted to stand out in the sun for a while."
"Have you told the Vampire King?" Vae asked.
"No," Mauve replied and brought her head down. "I don't want to cause any trouble and I will only be out for a few minutes." She twirled her hands. "I was wondering if you knew any backdoor."
Vae looked horrified. "You want to sneak out?"
"Vae," Mauve's eyes turned to slit. "Don't make it sound like I want to run away. It's just a brief walk under the sun, a stand," she explained. "I don't want to have to trouble anybody and I don't want to use the front door."
