Bab 17: Fairy 16: Unbottled Feelings
As the inside the of guildhall of Fairy Tail has become a wreck. Outside on the training grounds, lies nearly all members of Faily Tail, even Elfman and Lisanna are among them. As they both looked at the sky, looking at Erza wearing full armour with wings, and a sword in each hand, while facing their sister, who in her demonic form, with her bat-like wings, and demonic claws that are slashing at Erza.
"Take that back, Erza!!" Mirajane howled full of rage and denial as she slashes her claws at Erza.
"You are making more mistakes than usual, Mirajane." Erza simply said, while she dodges and counterattack Mirajane's attack, as she knows her rival too well, to see how unstable she is right now.
"You b*tch!" Mirajane said while being pushed back.
Lisanna that seen them fight before, knew it is different compared before, and has a bad feeling about this fight. Which is why she is making her way to Makarov, who closely watching them fight with a serious expression.
"Master… can you please stop them!" Lisanna begged.
"I am sorry Lisanna. It may be hard to understand. But this is something that your sister needs." Makarov spoke with wisdom, showing his age.
"B-But…" Lisanna tried her hardest.
"Don't worry, this is something every adult has to go through." Makarov said patting Lisanna's head.
"Master's right, Lisanna. You may not understand it, but you will once you grow older. This is what we call growing up." The one that said that, is Macao Conbolt.
"That right lassie, there no need to worry." The one that said that, is the only guild member that seems to be smoking. His name is Wakaba Mine, the same age as Macao, as well his best friend. He has brown pompadour-like hair. As for his eyes, it is hard to tell what colour they are, since they always semi-open.
Seeing nothing she can do; Lisanna was unsure if this really is good for her sister's own growth. She could only sigh, and make her way back to her worried brother, Elfman.
"I know they all need to grow up at some point. But… isn't this a little too early?" Wakaba Mine askes.
"Maybe so, but as adults, we need to be there for them." Macao told.
"Indeed… but how will Zack react once he knows of this… or the outcome… I hope, this will lead them to their growth as adults later on. Not ruin them." Makarov told.
"You worry too much Third Master! You know how smart that kid is!" Wakaba said.
"He's right Master. It's hard, but it our job as adults is the aftermath, to be there for them." Macao said.
"Everything is a learning experience for them. That's why, fight, cry, and rely on us, my children. As adults, we wait the day when you also fully become adults yourselves. That's way, fight, and cry, and become proper adults." Makarov said, as he looked at the two girls fighting it out.

'Why…?' Mirajane askes herself this, as she was kicked in the face by Erza.
'Why is she stronger than before…?' Another question, while Erza blocked her easy-to-read attack, and sent her clashing to the ground again.
'Why can't I get a hit on her…!?' Mirajane cried inside, as she tried to slash her claws into Erza, but she dodged, parry, and even counterattack her each time.
"What's wrong Mirajane Strauss? This is not like you." Erza said that while parrying her claws, and looked right into her blue eyes, with her own brown eyes.
"Shut up!" Mirajane went, as she attacked her again and again, with each attack becoming more and more unease each time.
"You always stand above others, bully them… like you do the same with him." Erza said, pushing her away, and swinging her sword at Mirajane.
"T-That's…!?" Mirajane wanted to deny her words. But she knows the truth, unwilling to accept others besides her siblings. Even now and then she still tried to push that annoying guy away.
She doesn't want to admit it.
She doesn't want to acknowledge it.
These unbottled feelings, she doesn't want to admit it.
She doesn't want to lose another close one or be called a monster someone close to her yet again.
That's why, even unintentionally. She pushes everything away. Even when she talks with him, it mostly him doing the talking, at first, she found it annoying. But soon beginning to accept it.
However… deep inside her she knows. That she cannot accept him… if she did, she will become weak.
She won't be able to become strong enough to protect her dear ones.
But part of her that also wants to be close to him.
Part of her that also wants what he wants. To know more about him and have him know more about her.
But she is afraid… accepting another person, she honestly doesn't know what to do.
She vowed not to go near another person. Not to rely on someone else.
To prove she can do this, to prove she doesn't need anyone else to protect what dear to her.
She truly is afraid. Not understanding this until now, just made her more scared, more unwilling to accept him.
Fear what will happened once she does.
Will she change to a better person?
Will he accept her? Knowing everything?
'Monster'
It was a word, that haunts her. Even if she knows that no one in the guild views her like this. She still cannot get away from that word.
'She properly killed her parents… with that evil magic of hers.'
'Maybe she will become the same as that thing…'
'Those claws… aren't they the same that killed her parents… I know it… that monstrous brat…'
Mirajane recalled those harmful words, even if she knows her Take Over Magic is not evil. Even if Master, Makarov shown it was not evil, and her siblings also learnt Take Over Magic as well, to show it was not evil.
She cannot get away from it. She cannot get away from what she truly thought deep inside her.
'If only I had the power… strong enough… I could protect our parents… with the very demonic soul's powers… that took them away…?'
Satan Soul, the true name of the being she slowly and partly turn into to. The very being she draws powers form. Could she truly protect others with it…? She tried not to think about it, tried not to think what will happened if she becomes the demon herself.
When she thought about it, her Take Over Magic becomes unstable, and Erza and the others also noticed this. And it that moment when she about to lose control.
"Sister!"
"Sis!"
Two voices, that always pulled her back. Two beings that she must protect to the end of her life. Two people that should only matter to her.
No one else should matter to her. Even if she had to drive them away. When she remembers his smile, his laugh, his concerns. She understands it.
This may because she was nearly taken over by her magic. Or an excuse for herself.
'It's his fault…'
'I become this weak, because of him…'
'I know I shouldn't accept anyone else…'
'I must do everything myself…'
'I will never lose anyone else important to me…'
'Even if I had to lock my heart away from others… I refused… to rely on another… when they refused when I needed it the most…'
Seeing her eyes of determination. Erza could only sigh and thought this.
'Maybe this is a mistake… I am a bad sister…'
"Is that your choice?" Erza asked, looking right into Mirajane's eyes.
"Yes…" Mirajane didn't say anything else, besides that. And walked off and undid her Take Over Magic. Erza could only watch Mirajane's back leaving, as a deep concern took over her heart.

When Mirajane and Erza stopped fighting. Lisanna and Elfman both rushed towards their beloved sister.
"You all okay… sis?" Elfman the first to asked.
"Yeah…" Mirajane said in a weak voice.
"I know! Natsu, Happy, Gray and 'Zack' will become back day after tomorrow, right?" Lisanna said that, knowing how much she cares about Zack, trying to cheer her up. But something unexpected happened, which shocked both the brother and sister duo.
"Don't mention his name…" Mirajane went with a weak voice, as she still looked down walking past them.
"Sis…?" Elfman called her.
"You mean… Zack's name…?" Lisanna asked.
"Yes, his name! Don't mention his name to me again! We… I don't need nothing to do with that guy!" When Mirajane shouted that, she run past her siblings, leaving them in shock. Not understanding what's going on.
Watching all this, Makarov could only sigh. And looked at Erza that also feeling guilty, after all, she did feel she had to do this. However, seeing the aftermath of their fight, she cannot help to feel she did this all wrong.
"Master… I…" Erza walked before Makarov and was about to blame herself. However, Makarov himself stopped her.
"Erza, you did nothing wrong… besides making my guild hall into a mess." Makarov said, which others felt like a joke to lighten the mood. But he actually meant that last part.
"This is what we adults call youth. We cannot blame you since it also something we all thought about as well." Makarov said.
"B-But… I… you are right… it just… I don't know how I should face Zack when he comes back." Erza looked down saying that.
"With a smile! It going to be hard, but that what are the steps leading to adulthood are! They not easy steps! This is important for growth between the three of you! Experience the ups and the downs, it's painful, believe me I know! But remember this my child! We are Fairy Tail! A family, we may be a chaotic one at that, but we still look over you lot, as this is our job as an adult." When Makarov said that Erza shows a smile as well.
"You are indeed right Master… as his sister, I will make sure he won't be alone. That is my role, who thinks of me as family."
Erza said that with a smile, even if guilt can be seen on her smile.
