The bright star-like thing that flies over my head goes straight for my house. No no no no no. I kick the ground and run. I'm fast, fuck I know it. Today's the day I test that speed. If I can…. What am I thinking? If I can, what? If I can do what to the that? I don't even know but I need to stop it from hitting the house. The children are there for god sakes. I was able to catch up to it in seconds, my body bumped into several tarnished buildings because my eyes remained on the… let's just call it a star. It's too bright to be anything else. 

As I was about to take that leap to grab it, it suddenly made a U-turn and went straight for my stomach. 

The harsh heat slammed me into the ground.
