Bab 11: Rain

That afternoon is freezing; the air that blows will make anyone link his hands to give warmth. The rain, which had not stopped for a long time, made the sun's rays seem like they didn't want to appear.

However, the situation heated up in the CEO's room when Airlangga entered the room with anger still lingering in his mind. Abel could only silently observe the case; she bit his lower lip while she was worried that the feud between the brothers would return.

Axel suddenly got up from his chair. He stepped closer to the woman standing like a statue while pulling Abel's hand to stand right behind him because he saw Airlangga, who was still fiery. Alex was very afraid that Abel was affected by his brother's anger.

"My revenge will be crueler than this!" Airlangga snapped as his eyes stared cruelly at his brother.

After Airlangga had just left, Alex sat back down and made a squeaking noise in pain.

"Do you have an event tonight?" Alex asked quietly.

Abel took a deep breath; she couldn't predict what Alex would plan if she answered his question with an affirmative answer.

"Nothing, sir," replied Abel.

"I hope you can take your time to have dinner with me."

Abel immediately rolled his eyes, not because she was surprised to be invited to dinner by his boss, but because she was thinking about what would happen if she agreed to the invitation. Abel was afraid that if Airlangga knew this, his emotions would escalate and harm Alex more than this. Abel didn't want any of this to happen.

Alex smiled faintly at Abel's behavior, which seemed to refuse the invitation to have dinner with him; even though there was disappointment in his heart, he would still appreciate Abel's answer.

"Looks like you have an event tonight. Maybe next time I'll take you out to dinner. Now, you can go back to your room," said Alex.

"Hmm, I don't have any events tonight, sir. For the place for dinner, maybe you can inform me via WhatsApp message. I'm sorry, sir, "said Abel, returning to his room immediately.

"Damn it!!" Airlangga was about to hit the table before him; he lost control of the problem this time.

"Why would he casually take Gabriella on his business trip? He will enjoy the first night and, of course, enjoy the secretary's body first!" annoyed Airlangga.

Airlangga came out of his room with decisive and hasty steps to go to the dining room.

"Make one americano," Airlangga ordered one of his servants at home.

An old lady with hefty makeup, especially on her lipstick, had just arrived with two maids always behind her. Her steps are slow but very organized; like a queen, all of this woman's needs are served by the maid in her house.

His eyes stared at his second child, who had just arrived after almost two years of not setting foot in this house.

"What are you doing back in this house?" said Linda, the mother of Airlangga and Alex.

Airlangga's eyes were cold to the older woman in front of him, but even though this hatred did not fade, he felt that this time he had to work with his mother to bring down Alex.

"Alex! I want to bring Alex down as low as possible!" Airlangga replied passionately, even though he ignored the words in front of his mother.

The older woman smiled as she clenched her hands on the dining table at home. Linda had thought that her two children would fight again over the issue of inheritance and position in her husband's office.

"What happened?" Linda asked in her voice that trembled at the memory of her growing old age.

Airlangga explained the incidents he had experienced for almost two years and the pent-up frustration because of his brother. Starting from the company's position, power, and regulations that his brother should not interfere with.

Linda is increasingly motivated to take down Alex; she is annoyed with her first child for not listening to his advice about the company.

Linda's frustration started when her husband died; she wanted to sell some of her husband's assets for her personal use, buy useless things and throw a party; what annoyed Alex the most was when her mother remarried to a man who was not far from her age.

There was a cold war between mother and daughter for years. Linda decided to expel Alex from her palace, a luxury house in classic European style with white nuances with towering pillars in front of it.

Airlangga brought his head closer to his mother, formulating a plan to inherit all of Khan's assets. He designed it, and of course, it excited his mother; the feeling of harming his first child returned.

"So what are you planning to do?" asked the mother.

"I'm going to use his new secretary, who is so infatuated with him that he dares to take such unreasonable actions. I will be the CEO of Khan's company soon!" said Airlangga bravely.

Heavy rain soaked the streets, making heavy traffic creep in, and the sound of horns from outside became a companion of boredom. There were Alex and Abel, who were silent with a thousand words; Alex, who usually always opened the conversation, was now silent.

"Hmmm, let's eat close to the area here, sir, so we don't get too much traffic that way. I just booked the maps application, and all the signs are red," Abel said slowly.

Alex didn't answer anything, as if Abel's suggestion didn't make sense to him.

They had been in the car for almost two hours until Abel finally fell asleep because of the cold weather and boredom in the car.

"Wake up," Alex said quietly. His face was already right in front of Abel, which surprised him.

"Sir, what do you want to do?" Abel asked; he saw his boss in front of his face like a wolf who wanted to pounce on him.

Alex just laughed a little while enduring the pain because his face still had a lot of scars from his fight this afternoon with his sister.

"We've arrived. How did you sleep well?"

Hearing that question made Abel embarrassed because he, who was unconscious during the trip, fell asleep.

"WHAT? I fell asleep?!!!!"

After getting out of the car, you can see the beautiful scenery this restaurant serves. Shady trees and extensive tea gardens spoil the eyes of anyone here.

"Where is this?"

"Bandung!" replied Alex excitedly.

For some reason, Alex brought Abel to dinner, which was very far from the bustle of the capital; the cold air and the fog that enveloped him also asked.

"There are many things that I want to say," said Alex, making Abel confused.
