Bab 49: The Pinnacle of All Races
Alternate Title: A Nephalem's Two Sides.
(A/N: Ah yes he had two sides, here's the other one. It may seem cringe to some so be warned)
Galahad looked at her surprised, side with Heaven? Why would he do that? He had already planned out what he would do with Heaven those angels would be his to command. He scratched the back of his head, "What...do you mean?" he was now seriously confused now. She raised her sword and got into a stance, this man decimated the entire battlefield with his attacks and as such he couldn't be allowed to live.
She slashed at him but he dodged the hit, the ground behind him got cut in two halves from her attack. He signalled to Shizue and Nero to not interfere, this woman matched Guy Crimson in terms of brute force and they couldn't do anything to her. Nero raised her sword and slashed at the air sending out a wave of flames which was casually brushed off by the Hero, she shouted, "What are you made of?!" how could someone just shrug off her attacks?
Galahad dodged the blows headed his way while thinking, maybe his other side was responsible for this or something? Oh surprised? All Nephalem have a second side to them, in other words all of them have a case of severe personality disorder though those in the higher order can suppress that side, a side which is a complete opposite of their actual selves. Galahad clicked his tongue, he could switch between his two sides effortlessly, since there was no way he would side with Heaven after all he had nothing to gain by doing that, it could only be attributed to the other him.
He swerved to the side dodging a beam of energy that decimated the castle, "My home!" he said loudly, he hated him though. That idiot had a God-Complex and every pride related complex ever! Well, he could deal with his own mess then! Since the actual Galahad was someone lazy and mostly prideless the other him was extremely diligent and prideful. When he doesn't want to deal with stuff, the other him or to be exact his other self can be made to deal with it, looking at her attack him without warning or listening to him it was apparent that she wasn't going to talk.
And this was something he didn't want to deal with so he could do it! The air around Galahad changed as an aura burst forth pushing back everyone in the area destroying the ground around him, he slicked his long hair back and tied it in a rough ponytail. Nero looked at him closely before immediately grabbing Shizue and jumping back, she sensed danger! The Hero sensing danger, once more got into her stance.
He slightly raised his head, he pointed his hand at the Hero and then pointed at the ground, "Fool, you would dare attack me?" he asked his voice laced with arrogance, "Bow." he ordered his aura flaring she launched forward but he grabbed her sword and kneed her in the stomach before punching her in the face, shattering her mask to pieces. She crashed into the ground destroying a lot of it, trees were ripped from the ground as the terrain got distorted.
He looked at her now revealed scowling face and chuckled, "Chloe Aubert, I presume?" he asked slowly walking forward. She gritted her teeth and scowled, ever since the fight began she had been trying to use her skills but it always failed they just didn't affect him! He betrayed them! So she asked again, "Why did you side with heaven?! Why betray us?!" he was a nice person usually but then this happened.
Galahad slightly tilted his head, "Side with Heaven? Ah, something from the future I believe." he said looking at the ant in front of himself, Chloe's eyes widened in surprise how did he know that?! He then laughed out loud, "I need not 'side' with anyone, for I am absolute!" he announced stomping his foot causing a small scale earthquake that shook the land for miles around. He raised his hands to the side, "It would not be me who sides with Heaven! But Heaven who serves me! For a God has no equals!" he again said, his voiced filled with pride.
He folded his arms, "That is it!" he announced to the world, the Nephalem were the pinnacle of all races! and he was the pinnacle of that race! And as such! "I need not petty schemes or betrayal as you claim it! For I am above such lowly things." if this had been the actual Galahad, he'd fall over gripping his heart from the cringe.
Shizue looked at him in surprise, "What is this?" she asked no one in particular, Galahad was never like this! Nero folded her arms and nodded, "Umu umu, I see." looks like her Master did indeed have pride, no actually this may be on the level of Ozymandias but it also looked like her Master had some mental problems as well.
Chloe gritted her teeth and launched at him in frozen time but of course he reacted and deflected her blow with his own sword, the Sword of David. She slashed at him thousands of times in an instant but he simply deflected all those strikes and punched her in the stomach making her cough out saliva. He then grabbed her head and slammed her into the ground, she looked him straight in the eyes with a scowl on her face. "You do not have the right to look me in the eye, trash." he said as he put his foot on her stomach and slowly pushed it down making her scream in pain. "When that is all you possess, why challenge me? Are you a fool, girl?" he asked grinning. "ARRGH...traitor!" she shouted and launched disintegration magic at him, he simply put up a barrier stopping the beam. He also put up a barrier holding her in place.
He shook his head, truly they were idiotic creatures going against that which is absolute is useless, what he decides goes. All Struggle in front of him is meaningless! He curiously looked at his hand then looked to the sky, "It appears that is all." and the aura completely disappeared, Galahad yawned and stretched his arms, he sat down next to Chloe who was observing with a scowl on her face. Of course she could break that power but he stole her life force too so she was weakened until she regenerated it.
Galahad groaned, the other him was a cringe fuck that he would rather not let out at all. Nero ran up to him, "Master! What was that?!" she asked, she needed to know that was the conduct of an emperor! Shizue also quickly nodded wanting to know as well. Galahad scratched his cheek, "LEt's just call it....one of my powers." he responded looking curiously at the bound Chloe, that fight ended fast, but then again most of it happened in stopped time so. She rubbed her chin in thought, "Umu! I like that skill! You should use it more often!" it was pretty cool after all.
He shook his head, "No I'll hold off.....on that." he then looked at Chloe who was glaring at him. "Now then....care to explain?" he asked, he seriously needed to know what that meant. He had no plans on destroying the world, yes he may not be good but he wasn't evil either he did whatever he wanted. "I'm not talking to a traitor." she spat back, Galahad yawned and shook his head, this was a dilemma. This should be Hinata Sakaguchi with Chloe controlling the body.
Nero pointed at her, "You've lost, as the victor he has the right to make demands!" she said flamboyantly, that was the way of a valiant person! Galahad thought for a bit and nodded, he lazily said, "If you tell me, I give you my word that I'll protect Rimuru with my life." that was the best way to negotiate and seeing her thoughtful look it was apparent that it worked, as for giving his word? What was that? Could he eat it? Is it interesting? Is it a comfortable pillow? But these people seemed to almost always fall for that.
She after a few minutes nodded her head, that works her end goal always has been and always will be Rimuru's protection and as such it was fine. "Alright, here's what happened..." she then told him about how she had been teleported here during the Tenma War. Apparently he had disappeared after Rudra retreated and Armageddon started, the Primordial Angels were then left to their devices and wreaked havoc on the army since he forced them all there himself.
While the Demon Lords did indeed interfere, Guy got caught up with Dagruel who unleashed his Quasi Breaker (A skill that makes him into a black hole that deconstructs everything it comes into contact with even magic strikes from afar, possessing virtually no counter) so Guy had to take him to space in order to avoid the world's destruction, Milim tried to breach Michael's wall but was unsuccessful.
That is until all of a sudden all the fighting stopped, in an instant all the angels stopped fighting even the seven primordials forming neat rows, the last thing she saw before being thrown back was all of them kneeling to Galahad as he struck at Rimuru for nearly killing the black haired boy that attacked him. Galahad after hearing her story nodded, so it wasn't other him after all! It really was his own fault! Seeing an opportunity, he must have left and when coming back he must have seen Rimuru fighting Yuuki so regretting it he must have attacked Rimuru.
He stood up and yawned, the Sun had set by now the castle had now disappeared, well more like everything in a several mile radius had disappeared because of him. Collateral damage was a bitch! He yawned and looked at Chloe removing the barrier, "Well I apologize, I can....guarantee it, won't happen anymore." She glared at him, she didn't believe him. "Oh come on....you know me, I'd rather avoid troublesome stuff." he said patting Shizue who was confused with the story.
Nero who had been silent looked at Chloe, time travel was the territory of the 2nd. The people of this world were indeed strong, stronger than she thought she had been pushed back as well! Making Rome here wouldn't be easy. "Umu! I welcome the challenge!" she announced and laughed getting many weird looks, what kind of Emperor would she be if she let that discourage her?!
Chloe nodded her head, "That....makes sense." indeed the time she had spent or would spend with Galahad proved that he would now try his best to avoid that outcome. Galahad glance at her, "You need to.....sleep now right? You know...time paradoxes and all." she once more looked at him surprised, how could he know all this?! Galahad was in his thoughts, this changed things. But first, he fell over and fell asleep much to everyone's shock, he needed sleep to get rid of the cringe from letting out his other side..
