Bab 114: The inner thoughts

Hamon didn't waste anymore time at the party and quickly took Ara with him straight to the palace. As he walked along the corridors of his residence with Ara in his arms. She had been sleeping and waking up. He had no idea what happened to her in the party.

Ara slightly opened her hazy eyes, trying to focus on a clear image but everything seemed distorted. Her condition made her stay quiet and let him carry her to wherever he was taking her to, she didn't feel panic nor fear knowing that it was Hamon holding her, the drug was now taking it's effect. She tried to suppress it, but she couldn't dull it completely. The more time passed, the more her body felt like jelly.

"Hamon..." She called softly.

He glanced down at her in his arms, "Hmm." He hummed and adjusted his arms to support her better. He'd been holding her the entire ride in the carriage.
