(A/n)- This is a special one shot for a user named @Girl-of-the-Glade. I hope you like it!
Nove walked quickly to her next class. It was math, her favorite subject. Nove smiled to herself, anticipating to get there.
She turned the corner and walked into class. She took her seat beside Nathaniel. Nove tried to keep from staring at the red head, but found herself gluing her eyes to him.
Nove watched as he drew Marinette. It pained her to know he still liked her. The bell rang and all the students rushed to their seats.
The teacher was always checking things before actually starting the lesson, so Nove took the initiative of gathering her notebook and pencils. She began drawing, hoping Nathaniel might look her way.
As she wanted, Nathaniel glanced over at her. He looked at Novels drawing. "That's a really good sketch of the Eifel Tower, Nove.", he complimemted.
Nove blushed and said, "Th-thanks, Nathaniel. But, I'm sure your's would be better." Nathaniel averted his gaze from her's, and blushed. Nathaniel liked Nove, but he also liked Marinette.
He didn't know who to choose.
Nathaniel looked over at Nove. She was doodling in her notebook again. He looked at her medium length black hair, how it shimmered in the light.
Nathaniel wanted to sift his hands through her silky hair, but knew better. So he settled on just getting to see her. "Alright, kids! Let's get these four problems done and we'll play All Around the World!"
Everyone cheered at the announcement. Nove smiled. This was the reason she loved math so much.
The kids rarely ever took notes and they played games twice a week. Nathaniel sighed. He wasn't very bright in math.
After each math problem was completed, the teacher instructed the first two students at a specific table to stand up. This was the start of the game.
"Five times two, go."
The students answered simultaneously, and they did so for the next four problems. Adrien won the battle, moving on to his next opponent. Soon enough, it was Nove's turn.
Her heart raced in nervousness. Her palms were sweaty. She knew she had a good chance against Ivan, though.
The teacher asked if they were ready. Nove nodded her head, her black hair covering her shoulders. "Seventeen times three."
Nove smiled and calculated the math in her head. Ivan was tensing up. "Fifty one!", Nove answered.
She passed on to Nathaniel. They teacher cleared his throat and said, "Sixteen times five." Nove darted her eyes around, calculating. Nathaniel gave up. He didn't know.
"Eighty."
Nove moved again, going against Marinette. Nove got every question right against the rest of the class. She was at the last opponent.
"One thousand divided by zero."
Nove smirked at the familiar problem. "It's impossible.", she answered proudly. The teacher nodded and shouted, "Nove is the winner!"
Nathaniel looked at Nove, smiling. Her smile made him blush. Her brown eyes were glistening, sparkling with joy.
The teacher let the kids do whatever they wanted because they were all good sports during the game. Nove walked back to her seat, looking at Nathaniel. "Good job, Nove. You wiped the entire class out.", Nathaniel congratulated.
Nove blushed and said, "Thanks, Nathaniel." Her eyes looked down at his drawing. It was of a bench, and two people who were not able to recognise yet.
The teacher called Nove over to his desk. Nove walked over to him, looking back at Nathaniel. "I want you to tutor that young man beside you. He doesn't enjoy this class and my tutoring isn't working."
Nove nodded her head and said, "Yes, sir." She walked back to her seat, smiling at the thought of spending extra time with Nathaniel. She sat down and turned to Nathaniel.
"Umm, Nathaniel?"
He turned his gaze towards Nove, blushing. "Yes?" Nove bit her bottom lip.
"The teacher wants me to, umm, tutor you.", she said. Nathaniel smiled and nodded his head.
Nove began her lesson with him, taking it one step at a time. "Do you understand that? Do you need an example?", she rushed her words. She was blushing out of embarrasment.
Nathaniel gave Nove his sketchbook to write a few problems down on. Nove flipped through the numerous amounts of drawings for a clear page. She stopped when she found a drawing of her.
"Umm, Nathaniel?", she asked shakily. Nove was blushing as red as Nathaniel's hair. Nathaniel looked over and blushed when he saw what she was looking at. "I-is that me?"
Nathaniel blushed a deep red and dropped his head down. "Y-yes." Nove smiled and said, "Thank you. It's beautiful."
Nathaniel gasped and looked over at her. She was giving him a close-eyed smile. His cheeks heated even more.
"U-uh."
Nathaniel couldn't think of anything to say. He wanted to express his feelings to her right now. "Nove...there's something-"
"I love you."
Nove covered her mouth, her cheeks ablaze. She was thinking about confessing, but didn't expect to say it out loud like that. Nathaniel stared at her, wide-eyed.
He smiled and regained his composer. "I love you too, Nove." He brought Nove in a tight embrace.
Nove smiled against his neck. She sighed in relief.
Nathaniel pulled back and stared into Nove's beautiful brown eyes. He leaned in slowly, pressing his lips against her's. Nove kissed back, closing her eyes to savor the moment.
Cheers broke out as they pulled back from each other. "Finally!", kids shouted. Nove and Nathaniel turned to see their classmates looking at them.
They blushed out of embarrasment. Everyone stayed where they were, staring at the new couple. Nove smiled and turned to Nathaniel.
"I love you, Nathaniel."
He turned to face her.
"And I love you, Nove."
They kissed again as the kids cheered.
Extra- The teacher smirked to himself. "Looks like my plan worked.", he said to himself. He watched as Nove and Nathaniel kissed.
