You flickered your eyes over to Mouse who was sitting at the end of the bar at Molly's. He was sitting with Jay, Jay's eyes were watching Lindsay as she chatted with Kim, Gabby and April as well as a few others. You were busy chatting with Atwater, he of course noticed the flicker of your eyes. "Please tell me it's Mouse you're looking at and not Halstead. I don't think this team needs someone else pining over that fool." You laughed, "Don't tell anyone." He shrugged, "Wasn't gonna." You smiled at him. Your phones both buzzed on the table lighting up with a text from Voight. "Great, just what we need." The pair of you stood, you saw Jay, Mouse, Ruzek and Lindsay make their way over to you and Atwater. "You guys get the text from Voight?"
"No, we got a text from the murder victim." Lindsay shook her head, Jay smirked, while Mouse and Ruzek snorted. You all made your way back to the District. Voight began to explain the murder case and had you team up with Mouse to go over all the paperwork the victim had due to her job. Mouse was discussing the logistics of her computer with the team and how he couldn't figure out how they had gotten into her electronic files. "Maybe he planted a worm on her computer?" You voiced. The team collectively turned to stare at you. "What?" Mouse's mouth opened and shut several times before, "When did you get so smart?" Your eyes flicked over to Mouse. "After I started listening to you." You shrugged as Mouse began tapping at the keys. Jay smiled at the interaction.
Voight had paired you and Mouse together once again. You were both sitting in a booth at the restaurant where the Voight was posing as a dealer. You and Mouse were supposedly on a first date, Jay had chuckled when Voight had said that. Mouse was whispering in your ear about the case and other random things. You were giggling and looking down at the table. Occasionally you would turn and look over at Mouse. You had gotten lost in his eyes a couple of times. You swallowed the lump forming in your throat. "I...um..." Mouse smiled slightly, and Jay said something that made Mouse blush. "Um, Voight, Mouse and I are being watched. Their over by the kitchen door."
"Could be a waiter, could be thinking of hitting on you, Y/N." Ruzek muttered sipping his drink at the bar. Mouse tensed slightly beside you. "Could be who we are looking for." Mouse muttered still tense. "You could kiss her, Mouse. It would give him a reason to look over at you and would help eliminate other options." Jay suggested. Mouse didn't relax. You looked back him rather than at the table. You smiled and shrugged. Mouse's eyes seemed to be asking for permission, when you nodded. His hand slid up to your neck and angled your head slightly. He leaned in. You both were gazing into each other's eyes. He leaned in closer and brushed his lips over yours. He pressed his lips harder against yours. The guy watching you bolted because of something that Voight had said. You had managed to stop kissing Mouse before he had bolted. You kicked a chair in his way and he stumbled and fell. Ruzek and Jay arrested the poor guy who was groaning on the floor. "Nice job, Y/N." Voight rasped. You nodded, a flush decorating your cheeks not from the praise or the situation of arresting the suspect but the kiss you had shared with Mouse. Mouse was clapped on the back by Jay who muttered something in his ear. Voight told you and Mouse to drive back together. You both nodded and headed out to your car. You got in the driver's seat, while Mouse got in the passenger seat. You leaned back, "So, um..." Mouse leaned towards you, grasping your chin turning your head towards him and kissed you. "You want to go out with me when we are not surrounded by the entire team?" You nodded and pulled him back in for another kiss.
