Ruby didn't have the heart to threaten someone like that. However, her life and her child's life were on the verge of death, so she had to do whatever it took to save their lives.

Silence engulfed the room. No one dared to make a sound because they did not want to disturb Doran's thoughts. Cold sweat soaked Doran's forehead and back because he didn't have much of a choice.

"Your Majesty, are you able to guarantee the life of my precious if I follow your wishes?" Doran's voice echoed in the room, breaking the suffocating silence.

Ruby was startled for a few seconds when she heard that because she did not think that precious thing was a living being. Ever since Ruby had suspected Doran, Lucas had checked Doran Gill's background repeatedly, and he had been unable to find any relatives or close friends who were still related to Doran.
