Bab 2: Off the cliff
"Nikita Volkov! Wake up. Do you know what time it is???"
A young man who's trying his best to wake up with his headache after drinking 3 shots of vodka last night. His room was a total mess and he was sleeping on the cold floor.
"Nanny, I'm so tired right now. Can you let me sleep for another hour?"
My head is splitting apart. I'll never drink again.
"Wake up and clean your room. I am tired of this. I'm too old for taking care of this old ass of yours!"
Ugh! …
"This headache."
"Clean your room and come downstairs. I've prepared some hangover soup for you."
She threw a broom on his back and left the room by shutting the door loudly.
I will never drink again.
So he got up and started to clean his room with the broom she left on him.
How many days do I have to spend in this small cold village? I want to leave this place after graduation and get a job. Should I leave this country? My uncle offered me a job abroad. Ugh! I don't know. My brain is screaming right now. I'll think about it later.
He cleaned his room quickly and left to eat his breakfast at noon.
"You're late Nikita! What were you doing?"
"Sorry nanny, I was in the bathroom."
"Hah! A young man like you shouldn't drink that much when you're thinking about something very important. Keep studying in your school and graduate."
"Yes, nanny."
"The job your uncle offered you in Germany is a really good job. But he didn't say anything about leaving this country right away."
"Yes, nanny."
"Then eat your breakfast and go fetch those sheep back from the mountain."
"In the mountains? When did they go there? Don't you know there are flocks of wolves and bears roaming around?"
Nikita was annoyed because the mountains were about 2 kilometres away from his home.
"Ask your dumb dad. Now go and bring back those sheep. I need to feed them. "
- My god! My head is still hurting. And it's super showy outside.
He checked the temperature and it was freezing -42°C outside. But it was a normal regular day for him.
"I'll be back, nanny."
He left with his white furry jacket on. When he opened the door to step out, 3 of his white dogs became excited to see him.
"Hey!! Boy!! Did you get a good night's sleep?"
"Woff!! Woff!!!"
"Good boy!! Let's go. We have to come back before evening."
He went inside the forest with his dogs by following the footsteps of the sheep.
It was a normal day in a small village somewhere in Russia. The harsh freezing temperature might be a living hell but it was normal for the people who lived there since their birth. So, it wasn't a big deal for Nikita to walk around the frozen forest. He was enjoying it.
"Isn't the weather great today, popo?"
"Wof"
"Hm? You're answering my questions now. You're really a clever boy."
"Woff!! Woff!! Woff!!!"
The three dogs were suddenly acting strange and they started to tremble. They wanted to run away but Nikita was with them. So they stood in front of Nikita to protect him even though they were trembling down to their core.
"Boys! What's wrong?"
"Grrrrr!!!!!"
"Boy!!"
The dogs started to act like they were protecting Nikita from something but there was nothing. Nikita couldn't see anything. There was nothing but trees.
"Woff!! Woff!!"
What is happening? Why can't I move? I feel like my whole body is frozen. I feel like if I move a single muscle, I will die.
In the cold freezing weather, Nikita's whole body became sweaty. He couldn't move because of the huge pressure around his body. The dogs were standing around his feet but they weren't moving either.
Something is really wrong. I have to get out of here. But I'm too far away from my home now. And there's no sign of our sheep here. There's a deep cliff of this mountain 20 metres ahead. So where did all those sheep go? Did they jump off the cliff?
No, they don't usually come to this area. This is the wolf's territory.
Suddenly, he left something really dangerous on his back and he ran towards the cliff. Because there was no way back. He was cornered.
"Help!! Help!! Someone help!!!"
The dogs were standing there without moving an inch but he could feel something was coming closer to him.
"Help!!!"
But he was too far away from the village. So, he was all along and no one could hear him screaming for help. When he reached the edge of the cliff, he looked back and saw himself. A man who looked just like him was smiling. Then he came closer to him and pushed him.
Nikita felt the ground vanish under his feet and he fell. The gravity was pulling him closer to the ground and…
He fell on a white snowy rock.
The white show was turning red quickly but he was still alive. With his blurry eyes, he looked above and saw his three dogs barking from the edge of the cliff. He could barely hear them barking because his ears already stopped working.
Then, he looked aside and saw the flock of sheep he was looking for were all down with him dead.
-I just wanted to go to the city and live a good life…
His vision became pitch black.
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! …
..
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!...
…
But he was already solid dead. He couldn't pick up his father's phone call. He was surrendered by dead sheep around his dead body. Like someone formed a ritual by using him as a sacrifice.
The sun went down at 4:30 PM and the place under the cliff became dark.

"Welcome. You pitiful soul."
Nikita suddenly opened his eyes and found himself in the middle of some circles and patterns naked.
"Where am I!"
"Be honoured. I, the great king will be giving you a chance to become invincible. You will hold the greatest power and the authority of this realm."
Nikita looked up and saw a huge throne with a man with 6 horns sitting there smiling down at him.
"Am I dead?"
"Hmmm. Technically, yes you died in an unfortunate accident. So I want to give you another chance to live again. In a magical world."
"So I am really dead."
"Yes, if you agree to follow some simple rules, I will give you a powerful skill. Remember, If you don't agree to my proposal, your soul will vanish."
"So, If I follow some simple rules. And you will give me powers?"
"You're a clever human. Yes. I promise."
Nikita looked at him and saw the man up there giving him a devious smile. But his life was already over. He clearly remembers him falling off a 60-meter cliff. There's no way of surviving after falling from that high on a plain rock.
"The rules, tell me. I will accept your offer."
"Hahahaa!! Very good. You just have to follow one simple rule.
Kill every boss of the dungeon and finally, the heroes."
"The heroes and the dungeon boss you said. Okay. I agree."
"Hahahahahaah!!!!! Marvellous!! This human is such a gem!!! I will give you some extra skills for accepting my proposal. Now, entertain me."
The man who was sitting on the throne came down and touched his forehead to transfer his power.
I can feel something entering my body. It's dark but comfortable. Is this magic? I can read countless messages inside my head popping out like notifications.

It feels like I'm in a game. But why a snake?
He fainted after he finished reading the text inside his head.
