Bab 146: Regaining Respect

In a certain spot of the academy, the same place where Carin beat Rune down, Carin was standing next to Maria, who came at her request.

"Carin, why did you call me here? It seems a little unfair to call me based on a hunch."

The tournament was only a week away, and she had her own preparation to secure her team's chance at victory. Like Rune, Maria would be taking place in both the solo and team events.

"He'll come," Carin said.

It had been two days. The building was fixed now, and it was about the time when she assumed he would be coming to ask for her to take him back as her student.

"Heh, see? What did I tell you?"

Maria looked over right as two shadows were approaching under the shadow of the afternoon sun.

"Well, he looks better, as hard as it is to believe considering how he crushed through a building..."

"Rune heals quickly. I wasn't lying when I said he has been through worse."
