Vincent decided to visit his mother at the medical hall, his tall body sneaking past the knights as he sat beside her bed; there were countless bandages and ointments on her body as she slept peacefully, his hands holding tightly onto her's gripping tightly as she mumbled in her sleep about himself and Milla. 

"Mother... It's wonderful to see you.... you're as beautiful as always, even when injured."

"So many things have happened since you left... let me tell you..."

He spoke with a soft voice, not the sound of the fierce and dominant Vincent, who was a daemon, but the young man who this woman raised; his words were like a melodic lullaby, as Verda began to calm down after hearing his voice, her body no longer trembling or seeming to be distressed in her sleep, as she turned on her side now facing his body.
