The old caretaker of the cemetery was somewhat stunned; he looked towards the direction where the flames had dissipated, his mind still lingered on the numerous details revealed by the other party during their brief conversation. It wasn't until the young girl, Annie, tugged at his sleeve that the old man snapped out of it.

He looked down and saw Annie looking at him with unease, her eyes filled with confusion and nervousness.

Perhaps she had started to grasp the concept of parting through life and death, yet she could not fully understand what had just happened.

Bending over, the old caretaker's stiff joints ached slightly in the cold winter air as he reached out and brushed the snowflakes off Annie's shoulder, "Annie, don't be afraid, nothing bad has happened."
