The color of the sky above the streets gradually darkened.

After seeing off Morris and tidying up the shop on the first floor, Duncan finally found time to talk with Nina about what her teacher mentioned during the recent home visit.

After all, this was actually the main reason for Mr. Morris's visit today—although the two of them got off-topic as they chatted.

"Have you not been resting well lately, or are you feeling unwell?" At the dining table on the second floor, Duncan asked while spreading butter on a slice of bread, "I heard from your teacher that this has been going on for several days now."

Nina visibly tensed up; she had probably guessed that the teacher would bring up these issues today, but until just a moment ago, she never thought that her Uncle Duncan would really start paying attention to her situation at school—a mix of long-missed care and nervous unease spread through her heart: "It's just that I've been a bit... sleepy."
