'System. Where can I find the elemental?'
[In the forest to the east. In the midst of it, I sense his presence.]
According to the system, the elementals are ancient beings who lent their strength to five humans. If I recall correctly, these five humans comprise the ducal and imperial families.
"It's already getting dark outside. I think I'll go to the bathroom to shower before going to bed."
Elizabeth exited the bedroom and went to the bathroom. I could see the city lights when I looked out the window. The lights added a special charm at night, making the city a beautiful sight. The bathroom door finally opened after a few moments. Elizabeth came out wearing pajamas that caused my blood to pool in my groin.
She walked away from me while drying her hair. Her pjs consisted of a thin pink blouse and short pink shorts. Elizabeth was wearing nothing underneath her pajamas. The fact that her nipples were marked on her blouse made me realize this. Elizabeth's lovely legs were also on display.
Another thing that caught my attention was her ass. With each step, her ass shook. I could see this due to the thinness of the fabric. Elizabeth probably always sleeps in those pajamas on hot nights, so she wore them like it was normal.
I tore my gaze away from Elizabeth and into the bathroom. It was my turn to shower. After wiping all the sweat off my body, I left the bathroom and found Elizabeth lying down, quietly reading a book.
"Should we do something?"
"No. Margaret didn't give us any tasks, that means we can rest today."
"Got it. What do you plan on doing tomorrow?"
"I don't know. Everything will depend on Margaret. After all, we are your vassals."
After a few more shifts, I lay down and left Elizabeth reading her book. After a few hours, Elizabeth fell asleep. Seizing the opportunity, I got up and went to the window. Analyzing the structures in front of me, I jumped through the window. The room we were in was on the second floor.
I was able to leap a long distance by distributing my magical power, landing on the roof of one of the houses near the palace. Then I began moving over the tops of the houses until I was near the forest.
'System. How do I locate the elementary?'
[Continue straight for a few minutes more.]
This time, inside the forest, I began jumping from branch to branch at a relatively quick pace. I notice some lights a few meters ahead. I land on one of the branches and see a group of demihumans, the majority of whom are bruised.
[The elemental is at the cave's bottom.]
A little further on, there was a large hole in a rock. If the stone is the cave's entrance, it means the cave is sinking. It has an underground cavern, in other words. I jumped off the branch and landed on the ground, drawing the attention of all the demi humans.
"A human? That is unusual "said one of them.
"Please excuse me. Was your group looking into this cave?"
"It's not a cave. This is a hell. But what exactly is a human doing here?"
"I'm an explorer. I enjoy traveling across continents."
I lied. I decided to keep my relationship with the empress a secret.
"I see. We were an adventure group attempting to complete this dungeon."
"Dungeon?"
"It appears to be a cave at first glance, but it is actually a dungeon. The majority of the dungeon has already been finished. The problem is that no one has made it past the ninth floor."
"..."
"It's a free zone, so anyone can enter. But I don't recommend it. Just look at the current state of my group."
"What exactly is on the ninth floor?"
"He is known as the General of the Dead. He's a knight in black armor with the ability to summon undead soldiers."
That's something I've never heard of before: a necromancer warrior. Normally, necromanders are mages who command soldiers from afar.
[Don't worry. The elementary is not far below. This dungeon was not built to protect the elemental; it was built to protect something far less important.]
'How do you know that?'
[I can feel what's at the end of this dungeon. It's a sword, a very powerful one. But it has nothing to do with the elemental.]
"How do you see inside the cave? Outside, I see only torches."
"The cave is made of luminous crystals that illuminate the environment."
"Okay, then I'll go in. Thank you for providing this information."
"What? Hold on, kid...."
I left the human demi behind and entered the cave; as he had mentioned, the cave has several crystals stuck in the walls that light the way. I kept running until I came across a passage, and when I went through it, I came across several spiral stairs that led to the floor below.
[Continue down to the fourth floor.]
'OK.'
Instead of taking one step at a time, I took a leap and let gravity do the rest. I landed on the ground after a few minutes of descent. There was an open door in front of me that led to the second section of the cave. I didn't see any monsters as I walked through the door.
The only monsters in this dungeon are most likely to be found on the ninth floor. All other floors have already been cleared by adventurers. I ran up to the fourth floor.
The fourth floor was much larger than the previous floors. It had a lake and mostly grassy vegetation. The other floors were all made of rocks and crystals.
[On the lake. You must dive in if you want to get down to the elementary.]
I approached the lake and knew the water was wet before even stepping in. With no other choice, I jumped into the lake and began swimming to the bottom.
I noticed a passage at the lake's bottom. The current drew me in as I got closer. I let myself be carried away because I couldn't do anything else.
Finally, as I was about to run out of air, I was thrown out of the water by the force of the current.
"Coof.... Coof."
I began to cough as I fell to the ground, trying to expel the water that had entered my lungs. I looked around after I stopped coughing and came to my senses.
I was in a cave that was lit up by white crystals. It was like a massive cave within a cave.
Behind me, there was a sleeping being. When I saw him, I felt butterflies in my stomach and my body froze. One of the world's largest and most feared beings, covered in white scales, stood in front of me.
"A dragon?"
[Yes, elementals are dragons. They arose from the will of nature as representatives of the elements.]
"He's lovely."
[Aren't you scared?]
"I was taken aback at first. But I'm not afraid."
I am someone who slayed the Leviathan in the other world, a monster that competed with dragons for strength.
[Are you going to wake him up?]
"I came all the way here. Why not?"
[Do as you please.]
"How do I get him to wake up?"
[I believe you should make use of the lightning power within you.]
I approached the sleeping dragon and placed my hand on it before releasing an electrical discharge on it. The entire dragon's body began to glow blue. I jumped back when I saw this scene.
The sleeping dragon opened its eyes, revealing its blue pupil. Every bone in his body trembled as he began to slowly rise. The dragon was larger than I expected, but it was also beautiful.
The dragon, sensing my presence, craned its neck towards me and came face to face with me. The dragon's beautiful blue irises stood in front of me.
"I feel my power within you."
"Do you speak?"
"Are you an idiot or what? Of course I talk."
He is very proud.
"I am Luke Blady. I am descended from the Blady family, who received their power in the past."
"How did my power get so corrupted like this?"
"Pardon?"
"The power of lightning within you. How did it get so dirty? Your family managed to take away all the purity of my element."
"I was born with this power like that. It's not my fault what my ancestors did."
"What do you want with me?"
"More...power? I didn't think elementals would be dragons."
Suddenly, the dragons' eyes flashed. It felt like he was scanning my entire body, and it made me feel a little uncomfortable.
"Hahaha, you're an interesting guy."
"Pardon?"
"Your soul is much older than your body. Are you reincarnated?"
"What if I say yes?"
"Interesting, hahahahahaha. Very intriguing. Did you say your name was Luke?"
"Yea."
"Skrill is my name. What about we strike a deal?"
....
(Skrill's Point of View)
I haven't been awake in hundreds of years. A boy woke me up, and at first, I didn't notice much about him. However, using my dragon eyes, I discovered something very interesting in his soul. The eyes of a dragon can reveal the entire truth.
Now that I'm awake, I want to go out and explore the world's changes. After all, the world was in complete disarray the last time I awoke.
"Skrill is my name. What about we strike a deal?"
Despite the fact that I am a dragon, my strength has dwindled over the years. We elemental dragons have been the dragon emperor's enemies since our birth. He'd probably come after me to kill me now that I'd awakened. It would probably be an even fight if I had my normal strength, but in my current state, I would die pathetically.
"What kind of offer?"
The human boy inquired, intrigued. I gave him a brief explanation of my situation and proposed an exchange. He takes me to explore this new world, and I assist him in becoming stronger; after all, he came after me with that goal in mind.
My presence will be hidden if I form a bond with him.
"And how would I bring you along? Have you looked at your size?"
"That won't be an issue."
I used transformation magic to transform myself into a well-known animal, a cat.
"We won't have any problems that way, right?"
"Wow."
"Do we have a deal or not?"
"Yes, we have."
"Now, first of all. Sit there and I'll purify my element within you."
From the first time I saw this boy, it's been bothering me. How is it possible that their descendants managed to corrupt my element like this? He was so beautiful, so pure and powerful. Pathetic these humans.
"Can you answer a curiosity of mine?"
"What?"
"Why did you lend your power to humans?"
"Let's just say that if I hadn't borrowed it, the world was in serious danger of being destroyed. End of story. Now shut up and concentrate."
I began purifying my power within his body. So two days passed.
....
(POV Margaret.)
"Elizabeth. It's been two days since that boy disappeared."
"I wonder where he ended up."
"What a headache."
