Bab 5: Underworld
Chloe was surprised as well as Malia for the priest behavior. Is attitude only worsened Chloe self esteem, the only thread that only kept her from breaking down finally snapped and she broke down completely. Chloe cried and sobbed as she sat on the tiles of the Church, malia tried to console her but the feelings were pouring out, all the pain she was bottling up since the beginning of her changes finally let loose and that made the priest to take pity on her.
" Child, you are not From this realm and it shows completely in your appearance", the priest said coming down to touch Chloe shoulder but that only burned her shoulder and she shifted uncomfortable.
Malia tried looking for the changes in her friend but she saw none ,so what was this man saying, she wondered.
But just then the church door opened wide and a gush of wind filled the room and the three people inside closed there eyes to avoid the dust and when they opened their eyes to see who came in their eyes took in another human appearance. A woman, wearing dark leather jacket and a black sweat pant with an high heeled boots that covered from her foot to her knee, her hair was done in a ponytail, and she wore an eye glass. She walked up to them and stopped close to them.
" And what are you doing here ", the priest asked. Malia and chloe saw that he spoke like the way he did to Chloe minutes ago so it could that this woman was... spiritual....both friends looked at themselves before facing the woman.
"I came to collect what is mine"the lady spoke, by the way her head was looking at Chloe one could tell it was chloe she came for.
Chloe gulped as she drew herself close to the pastor's feet even though the air that she felt from this woman made I feel free and comfortable, made I feel like she wasn't the only one different.
" O come on , you and I can see her appearance. she's dangerous and life here would be at stake which by the way I don't mind it to be", the lady spoke with a smirk at her face. The pastor could only huff as she was right so he stared at Chloe and could only shake his head.
"But her appearance is different from your people and you ", the pastor said .
"That I would figure out once we are out of here ", then the lady slowly took off her glasses and behind it was reddish eyes, reddish eyes like the one's in Chloe dream creature.
That appearance was the first inhuman Malia had ever saw and that freaked her to the point that she fainted.
"Humans", the lady huffed as she then turn to look at Chloe.
"What would a half demon and dragon doing here ?",she asked no one in particular as she surveyed Chloe who could only burn in her gaze.
" Well if you haven't noticed, half witch too and elf ", the pastor said and that seemed to have successfully make the lady stop in her track and confuse.
" Could it be that the ....the prophecy is...", the pastor tried giving her a hint and that successfully made the lady face smile as she brought her hand forward to touch chloe face which by the way she wasn't comfortable with.
"o yes, it she . The queen is back ", the lady outburst only surprised Chloe and she spoke out for the first time since the lady came.
"What do you mean queen? Am not a queen am just a normal teenage girl who want a normal life for once , who want to be loved by her boyfriend and get fucked and fucked over again then break up only to get another to f**k", chloe didn't mind if her statement was unholy or mind that the pastor's face scrunched up in frown or the ladies smiling face.
"It definitely the queen. You would have to come with me dear", the lady said.
" No , am not going anywhere at all. Am staying here ", Chloe persisted but that only resulted for the lady to frown hard .
" You staying here would put the human in danger and you are very insentient now that your power is at bay", the lady cautioned and that made chloe shut up and reasoned with the woman.
But just then a familiar voice called her from the end of the church close to the church door.
"chloe No , you can't go ", it was Adam.
He was listening the whole time but when he heard that his sister would be taken away from this world his brotherly instinct kicked in .
Adam knew where he could find Chloe but he was shocked seeing them leave malia house In a hurry and that only made in want to see the reason and that what got him here.
Chloe smiled and wanted to talk back but In a twinkle of an eye the lady hand went up and along with it was Adam...
"How....", Chloe was surprised.
"Don't do this ", the pastor said ..
Even though Adam and the lady were far from each other but some how she was able to connect both of their skin into fiction. As let her hand in the air so was Adam who seemed to be running out of air and he tried to breath properly.
" It your call Chloe, follow me or lose this worthless soul ", she said disregarding Adam who was kicking the air widely as he held the invisible force .
Chloe couldn't bear to see her brother struggling to death infact she hated even a small slight pain in him, beside she was not like them and being around them were toxic .
"I would follow you ...", the lady face lightened " but if you let me see my parents", Chloe said . She couldn't go without seeing her parents for the last time.
" Perfect", the lady dropped her hand so was Adam who fell hard on the ground , his body pained.
Chloe looked at her brother and sobbed, she looked at the still fainted Malia then she looked at the priest who gave her an approving nod.
The lady took her hand with her right one and used her left hand to open what seems to be a portal .. it was all globbing. Chloe looked at her brother who tried saying something but couldn't, she sent him a I love you look and soon she and the lady entered the portal which seems to swallow them whole.
