Bab 23: The value of life ( Modified)
Kurumi Pov
I return to the car and sit in the back seat .
" We heard a shot so the job is done? "
Copper asks. At the question I nod in confirmation.
"Yes the body is in the shadows ".
I reply.
"Well no body no problem , as I taught you quickly and with your head".
Replies Ash and starts the car starting to drive to our next stop. As he drive I look out the window and don't think too much about what happened because it was natural to me. I didn't feel anything at the time I just pulled the trigger.
"Ash "
I call out trying to get his attention.
" Is something wrong or do you feel bad about what you did?"
Ash asks as Cupper turns his head towards me.
" I'm fine just something changed in my Aura after I killed".
I say.
" If it's Aura we can talk and look into it tomorrow ,after all you have training with me then"
" Thank you Ash"
I say turning my head towards the window. Suddenly I feel someone grab my hand and it's a familiar feeling to me. Turnimg my head away from the window, my eye meets my pink mouse who smiles at me.
" I am fine Neo".
I I tell her but she without saying anything continues to hold my hand with a smile which I reciprocate as we for the rest of the way holds ouers hands.

A black car stops in front of a building connected to a large chala located on the outskirts of Vale. Ash, Copper, Kurumi and Neo get out of the car. With quick steps so as not to get wet in the rain, they enter through a door above which is written ' East Vale Recycling Facility'.
Being in the Building which apparently is the logistical part of the plant Copper quickly walks up to the reception desk.
" You look beautiful today Cherry".
Says Copper to the woman behind the counter who, looking at Copper and sighs.
" Does Mrs. De rosa need anything"
Asks Cherry looking reluctantly at Cooper.
" Maybe you have time after work for coffee".
Hearing Cooper's advances despite the women's apparent reluctance both Kurumi and Neo look at each other and roll their eyes. Before the situation goes any further Ash speaks up.
" Segregation of garbage and two new cleaners."
Ash says pointing at us. The woman hearing this looks at us assessing us.
" Yes special guidelines for orders only those approved by Mrs. De rosa"
Cherry says nodding her head.
" So where is the garbage? "
Asks Cherry looking at Ash.
" With us don't worry now lead us to the binder".
Says Ash when the woman indicates to go with her. Walking through the corridors and offices where people work chery leads everyone to the elevator. In the elevator, Cherry pulls out an employee ID card and swipes it through a sensor in the elevator, which starts heading down. Despite the fact that the bottom floor is minus one, the elevator shows that the elevator has stopped at level minus two.
Seeing this, Neo seems surprised and looks at Kurumi.
" This is the Empire founded by Big Mama ."
" You would describe it is a guild of assassins so it is normal that this building is not so simple ".
Says Kurumi to Neo who nods as if that makes sense .
"We prefer to call ourselves bounty hunters. And yes little miss you are right even though the cover of the recycling plant is great we better be careful anyway"
Says Cherry nodding as the doors open and a cool breeze and the smell of formalin hits the elevator . The previously modern office interior is replaced by dark wooden floors and white wallpaper on the walls. Without waiting any longer, the group exits the elevator and continues heading through the corridors.
" This is why you told me to take the body,"
" It's a recycling plant that has garbage melting furnaces so no one will notice when the body is burned inside".
" Plastic grinding machines can also grind the body"
" Special chemicals for processing organic garbage can destroy genetic materials."
" This place is perfect for destroying evidence"
Says Kurumi thoughtfully as Neo nods in agreement with her thought process while she was looking around the " morgue".
" You are smart just like Ms. De Rosa said"
Says a satisfied Cherry with a smile leading on. Neo walks over to Kurumi and grabs her sleeve drawing her attention. After a few grunts from Neo, Kurumi seems to understand what the Neo wants to ask.
" So Ash why did you dispose of the body in the park then?"
Kurumi asks while looking at Ash.
" That case was a private matter this is a business, you can't confuse the two"
Says Ash when both Kurumi and Neo nod in confirmation. Finally the group stops in front of one of the doors going inside. Inside are many shelves of tools and chemicals and in the middle is a special table used for dissections.
" Put the corpse on the table".
Cherry says while putting on an apron and gloves. Just as she said Kurumi walks up to the table and when her shadow falls on the table a chorror-like scene begins as a body emerges from the shadows pushed by tiny pale hands. When both halves of the body are on the table no one looks disgusted by this appearance. However, Kurumi frowns gently and Neo raises her eyebrows and sighs, looking away.
" I'm sorry before I saw the state of the body I already hid it".
Replies Kurumi when Cherry pulls out the camera and starts taking pictures.
" Don't worry it is still within the aesthetics of our work anyway".
" Some people work on accident patterns and then I have to watch bodies run over by a ten-ton truck"
Cherry says with a sigh.
" Generally a photo or head is enough some want whole bodies depends on the assignment ".
"So don't worry about it."
"And we're done"
Cherry says looking through the photos on the camera.

Replies Cherry. At that moment both Neo and Kurumi froze in place.
