Bab 17: I am Kurumi Tokisaki

In a well-furnished room, a black-haired girl with bandages on her head sleeps on a bed. Her bandaged hand is held by Neo sitting next to the bed. Her sleeping face is frightened and sweaty indicating the nightmare she must be dreaming. This anxious expression clearly worries Neo who is waiting next to her. After a moment, the black-haired girl suddenly opens her eyes and tries to get up violently with a scream, but is held down by Neo, who gently pushes her body back onto the bed.
"Trivia? "
The black-haired girl asks, to which Neo nods. The black-haired girl sighs and calms down. Neo gets up from the chair and shows the black-haired girl that she is not to move seeing that the black-haired girl understood Neo turns around and leaves the room. The black-haired girl hears Neo footsteps moving away start looking around the room.
" I slept for four days? "
Says the girl looking at the calendar on the wall. Looking at her bandaged hand the girl tries to raise her hand and after a moment of trying she raises her hand which makes her face show pain and discomfort.
"Don't move your arm your shoulder has fallen out of joint. "
Hearing this voice the girl recognizes who is speaking .
"Big mama? "
True to her word, Big mama approaches the girl placing her hand on her forehead as Neo stands behind her.
" Did you have a Nightmare ? "
Asks Big mama to which the girl nods in confirmation.
"Do you have them often? "
The girl nods again in confirmation.
"But I don't even remember what it was about"
Says girl looking at big mom
" I hope you don't have an infection".
" You don't have a fever that's good".
Says a worried Big mom
" Neopolitan explained to us what happened".
" And what you did you stupid girl was really stupid you are only eight years old what entered your head to fight the syndicate! "
" You are not invincible this is not your normal fooling around with normal people! "
" You are not all-knowing your plans do not always succeed ".
" I heard you threatened someone with a gun without knowing if it works? "
" Why didn't you come to us we would have helped as much as we can ! "
" You put yourself and Neo in danger ! "
Says Big Mama obviously worried and angry. She sighs and continues this time in a calm tone.
" However, despite this, I am proud of you,"
" You didn't leave your partner despite the danger".
" I also understand that you don't want to cause us trouble".
" I have told you and Neo so many times that you can live here and help in the pawn shop".
"However, you and your not to trust anyone ".
"And your and Neo's independence to live alone and free almost put you both in the grave "
"Neo had broken ribs, a broken jaw, burns on her body and in her respiratory tract not to mention CO2 poisoning "
"And you? "
" You almost had your spine broken and your skull almost cracked! "
"Your back has a deep wound"
" Knocked out shoulder, broken leg, pulled out hair you even lost the nails in both thumbs".
" And just like Neo CO2 poisoning burns on the body and in the respiratory tract."
"Fortunately, we know quite a few good hidden doctors who have taken care of the two of you for a good sum of money."
" But even they wouldn't help If not for the miracle with your aura and that gun both of you would be dead or worse "
" Not to mention that you both killed a man".
Big mama finishes speaking and the room is completely silent. Both Neo and the black-haired girl do not make a sound
" As I mentioned it was stupid however you have shown how you care about each other after only a few months.
" I won't judge you for who you killed because I killed many myself in my youth ".
" However, from now on, until you recover, you are staying here. "
Says Big Mama in a tone that doesn't allow for negotiation. Looking at the two little girls in the room a smile of pride and sadness appears on her face. The black-haired girl lowers her gaze, not wanting to look Big Mama in the eye.
"What happened to the museum and the spider people? "
Asks the black-haired girl .
" Officially, a fire broke out in the museum under renovation which caused dust explosions in equipment stored in the basement,"
"As far as the syndicate is concerned we don't know,"
" However, if everyone died inside and no one except them knew about you. You are safe from blame"
" If someone survived they can say that you were there and died or escaped making it known that you caused it."
" If someone finds out that you are alive you will have serious problems with the syndicate and not only with them ".
" In the best case no one knows about you and the only problem is that the syndicate will continue to search for Miss Trivia "
Big mama says making the room fall silent again.
"I will go prepare something to eat ".
Big mama breaks the silence and leaves the room. No longer hearing footsteps the black-haired girl raises her eyes.
"Neopolitan? "
Asks the black-haired girl looking at Neo. Neo sits down again on the chair next to the bed and looking at the black-haired girl.
"You named yourself after ice cream? "
Says the black-haired girl wanting to lighten the mood but her words cause a frown on Neo eyebrows then she sticks her tongue out at the black-haired girl in revenge. Looking at each other the two girls start giggling.
" It suits you"
Says the black-haired girl with a smile using her hand to fix her fringe. Forgetting the fact that her hand has been damaged, she uses her hand to remove her fringe, which causes pain and instead of removing her fringe, she reveals the view underneath.
The sight of the golden eye visibly surprises Neo. The look of surprise on her friend's face causes the black-haired girl gentle smile to disappear as she tries not to show her panic and tries to fix her fringe. Seeing the look on her face, Neo immediately regains her seriousness by uncovering the girl golden eye on her own again and returns the smile.
The black-haired girl seems surprised until Neo shows her bicolored eyes.
" Are we the same?"
Neo nods in response. The black-haired girl smiles and thinks about something for a moment.
" Neo we never needed each other's names nevertheless I know your old and new ones ".
"It would be useful for you to know mine."
The black-haired girl says and painfully raises her hand to shake.
" I am Kurumi Tokisaki"
Says the black-haired girl looking at the smiling Neo who takes her hand.
