"Fish, can you do me a favor?"
When everyone returned from Hogsmeade, Harry quietly approached Fish.
"Sure, what's the favor?"
Fish agreed quite rightly, but soon added, "Not if it's for Fish to avenge you, you and Draco were in a fair fight, you can't blame anyone else for losing."
Harry: "...That's not what I'm asking you!"
After taking a breath, Harry hurried to explain himself in case Fish made any more shocking comments, "Here's the thing, Hagrid asked me to meet him at twelve tonight," he didn't feel like hiding anything and told him exactly why, and asked, "Can you help me open the Fat Lady's portrait at eleven thirty?"
Since Fish usually sneaks out around ten o'clock, it was a little early for Harry to follow, so either Fish would have to postpone his departure or come back earlier, but that was no big deal for the cat.
Besides, on second thought, Harry said, "Besides, Sirius is coming to see me through the fireplace in the common room at one in the morning, could you let me know? No one else can find out about this."
"No problem nya! It's all on Fish!"
?(?ΦΦ?)?
These two things were nothing to the cat, so he agreed without hesitation.
In the evening, instead of slipping out of the bedroom around ten o'clock as usual, Fish joined Hermione in his cat form and plopped down in a chair by the fireplace to sleep.
The cat was aware that if he slipped out now, it was hard to know if he would remember to come back at eleven-thirty, and it was better to wait until Harry was ready to go out with him.
Of course, he had told Hermione in advance, as Hermione, who was also a cat, had enough hearing to detect Harry's movements as he walked.
At about eleven-thirty a slight movement was heard at the entrance to the boys' dormitory, and Fish, lying by the fireplace, flapped his ears and rose from his chair.
Stretching his buttocks in the air, Fish jumped out of the chair with Hermione at his side.
"Fish, are you coming out?"
The Creevey brothers, still in the common room, looked up and asked a question. Somehow, they had gotten their hands on a bunch of Slytherin badges and were trying to magically convert the words on them to support Fish McGonagall and Harry Potter.
However, after a lot of work, all they managed to do was pin the badges to 'Potter sucks'.
"Nya~"
(=?▽?=)
Fish replied lazily, then slowly walked towards the portrait hole with Hermione and walked out with Harry.
"Fish, do you want to come with me to Hagrid's?"
After leaving the dormitory, Harry invited, for some reason, he vaguely felt that Hagrid's invitation to him at this moment was related to the first trial of the Triwizard Tournament.
In fact, Hagrid had thought about informing Fish, but hadn't found the opportunity to do so when the cat was surrounded by girls in Hogsmeade, including the Beauxbatons Champion.
So, considering that the dragon probably wouldn't hurt Fish, and that Harry would have informed Cat had he known, and more importantly, that.... Fish would have seen the dragon and done God knows what in his excitement, Hagrid hadn't bothered to inform him.
He hadn't expected Harry to take the liberty of inviting Fish.
However, after a moment's thought, the cat shook his head and ran off with Hermione.
If he had gone to Hagrid at dinnertime, he would have gotten some rock cakes to gnash his teeth on, but running there in the middle of the night didn't make much sense to Fish, and it was already eleven-thirty, so he would have to be back by one to watch Harry's back, and he couldn't even go to the Forbidden Forest on the way, and it would be a waste of time going back and forth.....
A smart cat wouldn't do such a stupid thing!
When Fish ran off, Harry didn't stop him, and if it was as he thought, it would be good to go back and tell Fish.
And besides...
And with Fish's nature, he probably didn't give a damn about the competition.
Not to mention Harry, who had run out of the castle, Fish and Hermione wandered around the castle as usual and then went to the kitchen to grab a bite to eat before slipping back into the dormitory before one o'clock per Hermione's warning.
The common room was empty, except for the badges that the Creevey brothers had tried to upgrade, which had been thrown on a table by the fire with the words on them changed from 'In support of Fish McGonagall' to 'Potter sucks'.
Fish jumped up on the table and moved the badges around a bit, then lay down on them and started licking his own fur, while Hermione said goodnight to Fish and went back to her dormitory to rest.
Soon after, there was a rustling sound from the hole in the wall and Harry was back.
"Fish, the first event is a fire dragon!"
Harry said to Fish as he took off his invisibility cloak and approached him in fright.
"Nya!"
?()?
Fish's eyes lit up as he rolled off the table onto the floor, transforming back into his human form and grabbing Harry's shoulders.
"Is it true nya?! We're going to fight a fire dragon nya?! Cool!"
Harry: "..."
Well, he was too naive to try and talk to Fish about what to do.... the cat would love to fight the Fire Dragon!
Harry was asking the gods for help, but on the other side Fish was chattering to himself, looking incredibly excited.
"I was sorry to see that Norbert was too small to fight him, but this is a very interesting tournament!".
?()?
But soon, Fish looked at Harry in confusion and asked, "And how do you know? isn't this unfair to Fleur and Krum nya?"
"Hagrid was the one who taught it to me, besides, both of them should already know... Madame Maxime and Karkaroff also saw the fire dragon."
Explained Harry weakly, a little flustered by the cat's interruption.
Just then, the flames in the fireplace next to the two suddenly pulsed, followed by a somewhat rounded head emerging from the flames, standing above them.
"Sirius!"
A smile broke out on Harry's sad face, and he ran over to the fireplace and sat down on his knees, asking anxiously, "How are you?"
Fish looked over at Sirius, who had cut his long, unruly hair short and seemed much more energetic, though to the cat, the short-haired Sirius Black looked much uglier than before.
"Hi nya!"
(?ΦΦ?)?
Although Black and Snape didn't get along, Fish didn't have much of a problem with him, so he greeted him amicably.
"Uh... Hello, Fish."
Sirius' face twitched slightly at the sight of Fish, after all, he'd been beaten up a lot before.
But soon, Sirius adjusted and turned his head to Harry and said earnestly, "Don't worry about me, how have you been, Harry?"
In front of his godfather, Harry didn't hesitate to tell him all the grievances he had recently suffered.
Fish had no interest in their conversation, and the cat was getting an idea of intimacy, so he pulled out his wand, cast a soundproofing spell near the fireplace for Harry, turned back into a cat, and looked for a comfortable place to lie down out of the effect of the spell.
Of course, the cat did not forget to keep an eye on Harry, and although his eyes were closed, his triangular ears were perked up, alert to his surroundings.
After a minute or two, Harry and Sirius finished their conversation without anyone waking up and running to the common room.
With Sirius out and Harry out of the soundproofing spell, Fish opened his eyes, returned to his human form, and pulled out his wand to undo the spell.
"Fish, Sirius just told me a spell against dragons."
Harry hesitated for a moment, intending to share with Fish what Sirius had taught him.
However, the cat interrupted Harry with a curt wave of his hand.
"Fish won't listen!" Fish made a cross with his hands in front of his chest and said sternly, "It's no fun to fight when you know how to deal with fire dragons nya!"
(??ˇ?ˇ??)
Harry: "..."
Indeed, worrying about Fish getting hurt by a fire dragon was totally unnecessary!
On Sunday morning, Fish got out of bed again after ten o'clock and, when he entered the Great Hall, he was surprised to find Professor McGonagall there.
"Good morning, Minerva."
?●●?
Fish rushed over to Professor McGonagall and gave her a hug, as he always did.
"It's almost noon!"
Professor McGonagall patted Fish on the head and said, "Eat first, then come to my office, I need to talk to you."
After she finished speaking, she smiled and nodded to Hermione, then left the Great Hall.
"Nya?"
()
Fish cocked his head in confusion, but didn't ask any more questions, instead taking a seat at the table and began to enjoy his breakfast.
Since Professor McGonagall was waiting, Fish picked up his eating speed a bit and, once he finished his plate of food, he grabbed Hermione's hand and they ran together to Professor McGonagall's office.
"Minerva, Fish is here."
ΦΦ?)
The two of them soon reached the door to Professor McGonagall's office, pushed the door ajar and Fish peeked inside.
"Come in."
Professor McGonagall greeted Fish, saying nothing when she saw Hermione enter with him.
"Why are you looking for Fish? Fish has been so good lately!"
(?``?)
Fish said confidently.
As for what happened in Professor Moody's office a while back... since Professor Moody himself had no problem with it, it didn't count as him being bad!
"It's not that!" Professor McGonagall cried and laughed as she reached out and patted Fish on the head, saying, "I called to tell you not to go wandering around the Forbidden Forest for the next few days."
"Why? Fish wants to go play with Fluffy this afternoon."
(??ˇ?ˇ??)
Fish asked dissatisfied.
"Because the content of the first event is placed in the Forbidden Forest," Professor McGonagall explained, "If you see it beforehand, it's not fair to the others."
"But..." Fish cocked his head to one side and said, "Fish already knows that.... Is going to fight a fire dragon right nya?"
??
"What?! how do you know that?!"
Professor McGonagall stood up from her chair startled.
And Hermione next to Fish went pale with fear "Fighting with..... with... With fire dragons?! This is too dangerous!!! A fire dragon is something that even most adult wizards can't defeat alone! How can they let Fish and the others fight a fire dragon?!"
"But many adults can't defeat Fish! Fish is too powerful!"
?(?ΦΦ?)?
Fish told Hermione confidently, but still couldn't calm her down.
"Ahem... Don't worry, Hermione, the specific event is not fighting a fire dragon." Professor McGonagall reassured her future daughter-in-law before asking again, "Fish, how do you know?"
Fish scratched his head, wondering what excuse he could use to convince Professor McGonagall without exposing Harry, when Hermione, next to his, spoke first....
"That's why Hagrid called Harry last night, isn't it?"
"Hagrid? how could he help you cheat?!"
Professor McGonagall was furious, though she too was concerned for Fish and Harry's safety.... well... mostly Harry's, but she never considered the possibility of helping them cheat.
"Don't be angry, Minerva," Fish patted Professor McGonagall's arm reassuringly, "Harry said that Madame Maxime and Karkaroff also saw the fire dragon, so it's still fair to everyone nya."
(?ΦΦ?)?
Hearing Fish say that, Professor McGonagall got a little less angry, but she still frowned and said, "That was very irresponsible of Hagrid, I must tell Dumbledore to remind Hagrid."
Fish scratched his head, it looked like he had accidentally screwed up Hagrid again...also....
"Isn't the first event a fight with a fire dragon nya?" Fish was looking forward to it..."
(??)
Fish muttered a little disappointed.
Professor McGonagall and Hermione: "..."
"I can't tell you the details," Professor McGonagall said, rolling her eyes, "But it's up to you to face the fire dragon, and if it's you, Fish, you can actually win without facing it.... well... anyway, you should stay out of the Forbidden Forest for a couple of days."
Feeling she had said too much, Professor McGonagall changed her mind and returned to the original topic.
"But Fish knows he's a fire dragon!"
(?``?)
Fish protested very unhappily.
"That wouldn't work either," Professor McGonagall shook her head, "If you befriend the Fire Dragon in advance, the first event will be too easy for you, which is also unfair."
"Well... okay."
??
Fish blinked and agreed anyway.
Because it suddenly occurred to Fish, if he became good friends with fire dragons, it wouldn't be good to fight them, it would be better not to get to know them well, and then get to know them after the fight!
When they left Professor McGonagall's office, Hermione was still in a trance.
"Fish, fire dragons are scary, don't be stupid and fight them!"
Hermione said, her voice shaking, as she tugged on Fish's sleeve.
She was surprised, but she had realized that with Fish's affinity, the fire dragons wouldn't hurt her as long as she didn't provoke them.
But the thing is...
The problem was that Fish was planning to provoke the fire dragons!
"Don't worry, even Kanaloa is no match for Fish now, Fish can win nya!"
(●`?′●)
Seeing Fish's attitude, Hermione knew it was useless to try to persuade him, so she wrung her fingers and thought for a while before deciding to go after Harry.
Since Fish was determined to fight a fire dragon, she had to at least find out what kind of fire dragons there would be at the first event so she could make plans for the cat.
As a result, Hermione searched hard all day, but didn't even see Harry's shadow, and he didn't even show up in the great hall for lunch or dinner.
It wasn't until evening that Hermione saw Harry return to the common room with a tired face.
"Harry, where have you been? I've been looking for you today." Hermione immediately ran to him and said, "Never mind, that's not important, I have something to ask you, you saw fire dragons last night, what kind were they? did Hagrid tell you exactly what the first event consisted of?"
Harry rolled his eyes and dropped into a chair, not immediately answering Hermione's question, but taking a couple of breaths.
He had spent all day in the Room of Requirement practicing the conjunctivitis spell Sirius had taught him, and although Sirius had said it was a simple little spell, it had taken Harry all day to master it, and he had even asked Dobby to bring his food to the Room of Requirement, so now he was exhausted, both physically and mentally.
"There are four dragons, I think we each have to deal with one..." After a long rest, Harry answered Hermione's question breathlessly, and finally added, "Sirius taught me a spell last night, I was going to tell Fish, but he wouldn't listen, he said it wasn't funny."
The implication was that he was telling Hermione that she was probably doing a useless job now.
Hermione, however, scoffed at Harry's words.
I'm Fish's girlfriend, am I just like you?
Miss Know-it-all was confident enough that the cat would never refuse her offer.
She cast a sly glance at Harry, thanked him, and ran off in search of Fish.
Just as Hermione had thought, Fish listened sincerely to Hermione's analysis of the strength of the four dragons.
"So... the most powerful fire dragon of the four is named Hungarian Horntail?"
?()?
After hearing Hermione's analysis, Fish immediately gave her a big hug enthusiastically.
"Fish should have a good fight with that Hungarian Horntail!"
?(?≧?≦?)?
Hermione: "..."
