Bab 91: The Unforeseen, IV

"Come at me, you double-headed shit!" Luke got the wyvern's attention.

Though the unevolved dragon was quite smart, it still was prey to small provocations, and so, it charged toward my comrade.

"Luke!" I shouted my companion's name, full of worry and stress. 

By the time I realized it, I was already sprinting behind the monster with the katana in my right hand, and the dagger in my left.

"Aaargh!" I gave voice to my internal turmoil as I slashed down with my blades on the injured spots of the wyvern.

"Grahh!" It swiftly turned its torso around, scathing towards me with its left limb.

I jumped back, and the next instant, "It won't work, you fucking lizard!" Its tail was aiming for me from its right side.

I simply turned the sharpened part of my blade to face its tail, "Hah…" I breathed out, pure steam left out of my lungs and lips.

I didn't want to do this, but I must.
