It has been one day of walking and we have finally set camp inside a forest to rest for the night.
It was an uneventful day, we rarely saw any demihumans traveling.
"Okay, everyone, you have set your tents and properly cleaned up your weapons, right?"
"Yes, yes, why are you so talkative today?" Soobin questioned a so-called weird behavior of mine.
"Eh, what do you mean talkative? I am normally speaking and taking care of my comrades, is that wrong?" I whipped my brows up and down two times.
"No, not really." She sighed, "Well, goodnight, for now, I'm hitting the lay." And entered the covers of her tent, Mai was already sleeping there.
Things have gotten truly awkward between us. Most of the interaction I've had with Mai is staring daggers at different times.

I sat next to the campfire as most of our comrades had set themselves to sleep.
