Bab 21: Wild

The head of the palace maid carefully folded back Ysabel's clothes into the trunk, her hands trembling a little.

Ysabel stood at the side, plastering a stoic expression while Reis tried not to fidget beside her.

Palace guards were outside the room, as per the servant's second request from the king. With a bit of banter and sarcasm from Ysabel, a select of them, along with those guards from Eyeris, were allowed to stand guard outside the bed chamber.

Turning pale, the palace maid finished fixing Ysabel's dresses after checking her trunks carefully.

The statement she had remarked at the study was for the king's general knowledge. He was surely unaware that the servants must have seen how her brother and Lady Dolores flirted openly last night.

Perhaps, a few of them heard and witnessed their other intimate activity near the sea.

The imagery brought forth a grimace in Ysabel's expression. It was timely that the head of the palace maid glanced in her direction.
