Bab 287: Chapter 287: A Will to Survive

"How could you have hid such a despicable creature right under our nose?!" 

"You all deserve to be beaten black and blue for this!"

Aella heard noises coming from front of her house and she got down from her horse to see people gathered in front of the gate, some, the neighbors in the estate and others were completely strangers.

They must have found out that the demon which had been paraded down the streets today was her husband and as usual, their nosy selves couldn't handle the news and they had to make a scene.

"There she is! This is the wife of the demon!" One of them yelled before they all turned towards her with displeasure spread all over their faces.

"How bold could you be to let that thing into this estate?!" one of the ladies hissed at her.

"Have you no shame, Aella?"

Aella gritted her teeth, trying to push past them to enter her house but they pushed her back which made her fall to the ground.
